Thought I'd start a new thread for our second attempt. The game this time is 14:30, so we should try to be there at 13:30 to get a good spot. The plan for this game is to get places in the Stehplatz; there'll be a Sitzplatz outing for the following game. In principle, we ought to be able to buy the tickets at the game, but we tried that last time and it was sold out. So we may want to buy tickets ahead of time. I think our idea was to try Block I:

It's a standing section across the ice from the visitors' section in Block A, and at the opposite end of the ice from the crazy fan section.

Does this mean it'll be over in time to go and watch the football?

It would seem that online sitting has sold out already for the following game - I was unable to find anything available - but then again after the 6th attempt in various stands I gave up. I did not check out the standing, but I think your right JTW it might be worth a look rather than the fruitless trekk out again. LOL going but there is my 2cents anyway.
lodge
Cool - @JTW can you book me a standing if you're going to HT? Usual liquid compensation for your trouble...
jtw
Hmm, Hekticket still lists both Steh- and Sitzplätze for both games.

I should stop by the booth and check whether I can buy student as well as adult tickets through them. And also which block. But I won't be there when they're open until Wednesday, so I propose to go then. I can accumulate orders in the meantime, assuming I can get Block I and both adult and student tickets. So far I have two adults (myself and lodge).

yeah the option is still there but when you go through to book it comes up with an error saying nothing available try another option.

A 14:30 game should be over by 17:00 CEST, which is 11:00 EDT, so yes, plenty of time.

Anybody else interested?
ronk
I'm interested, but I'm out of town this weekend. I'll join you guys next time.

I think I'm going to go to this then on to the first game of football at salimas since they're close together. After that first NFL game is over, I'll head home since I have to work on monday... but that should be a good day outing.

Count me in, and I'll either buy you your choice of beverage and/or give ya cash on site.

Rose, Leah and Njall, I got us tickets in Stehplatz Block I rechts. (Complete with 10% paranoia fee.)
phoenix-rose
cool - thanks jtw
lodge
wtf is a paranoia fee?
Leah
Cool, thanks. I'd rather pay extra than experience the crushing despair of not getting in like last week. Are we going to meet up beforehand and travel to the stadium together? The ice hockey fans last week looked pretty scary, I might get lost amongst the beer bellies if I'm on my own.
lodge
I liked JTW's brunch plan as a meet-up. Sausage. lovely.

So we should probably head for the tram by 13:00 (even with tickets, it'd be a good idea to get to the rink ~1 hour early to get good standing places). Tradition dictates Weißwurst be eaten before noon, so I usually turn up at Brauhaus Mitte when they open at 11. That would give us more than enough time, and we could probably make it 11:30 without much trouble. (I think the last time I did this we were done eating and on our second beers within an hour.)

So what do we think? 11 or 11:30?
lodge
'leven, clearly.

Vorverkaufsgebühr. We could probably have got the same tickets at the door, but as Leah says we pay a bit extra for piece of mind.

Remember how I panicked about how early we had to show up for Wir sind Helden, and how that worked out?
