I was just wondering if i could get a dual German/Canadian citizenship. I am a current Canadian citizen who was born in Germany to Canadian parents. I lived there for 3 years and have a German birth certificate.

I think it's doubtful. Just being born in Germany does not make you eligible for citizenship. If you were born today in Germany, and your parents were both Canadians, whether or not they could get you citizenship would be based on how long they'd been living legally in Germany. If they'd been there 8 years, they could apply for citizenship for you (and themselves if they wanted to.)

These are new laws, but my understanding is that the old laws were stricter if neither of your parents was German. Wouldn't hurt to check with the local German embassy or consulate, though.
