Here ya go then, an important announcement for the likes of Ruthie and thetagirl05, The Bunter Hund Cafe in Vienna has realised there is an important gap in the overall Oktoberfest experience and has decided that man's best friend deserves a part of the action.

Seems that the vertically challenged canines of the world will also get a special treat instead of being looked down upon by their woofy compadres.

Cafe owner Manuela Kirsch - originally from Munich - told the news website: "We will even be giving out free beer to dachshunds, Bavaria's favourite dog."

No mention as to whether Italian breeds are also welcome.

For a moment, I thought that this was going to be related to the people in this Offensive Italians at the Oktoberfest 'cause they act like dogs on heat
