59th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards

As usual the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences will present their annual awards for excellence in television programming broadcast live from the Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles, with Pro Sieben carrying the live feed for Germany (2:00am Monday morning).



Of the many categories covered, the one for Oustanding Drama Series is perhaps the most anticipated for television entertainment fans. The nominees in this category are:
Boston Legal (ABC)
Grey's Anatomy (ABC)
Heroes (NBC)
House (Fox)
The Sopranos (HBO)

And the nominees for Outstanding Lead Actor are:
James Spader (as Alan Shore in Boston Legal)
Hugh Laurie (Dr. Gregory House, House)
Denis Leary (Tommy Gavin, Rescue Me)
James Gandolfini (Tony Soprano, The Sopranos)
Kiefer Sutherland (Jack Bauer, 24)

But I'm hoping for my favorite show to scoop as many of the 15 Emmys it's been nominated for...


The Sopranos
Carm
saw Ryan on Larry King, never really seen him before, but he was all- 'it won't be hard, heck it just hosting another show!' So, will be interesting to see how he does. Got the VCR set for tonight.

But nice to see Terry O'Quinn (Lost) and Katherine Heigl (Grey's Anatomy) each pick up an award.
And The Sopranos creator David Chase...

Yes! The Sopranos wins Outstanding Drama Series (and also for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series & Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series).
