I think one of the mods is having a laugh.
First the football thread title gets changed to rugby then the rugby one to football.

I changed both those titles incorrectly, and deliberately so as to make a point.
Important note: The particular sport in question should be specified in all sport-related topic titles.
If you don't specify the sport then you leave at least half the TT readership guessing which sport is being discussed. The sport in question might be obvious to you, and indeed it might be obvious to other close followers of that particular sport. But you need to have consideration for casual followers too. If the original poster takes just 0.5 seconds to type those extra few letters, they will save the 1,000 daily readers of TT lots of time and puzzlement trying to figure out which sport is being discussed.
Often I genuinely have no idea which sport is being discussed. I have to do a Google News search for a good 30 seconds to figure it out.
Bad topic title: "Who's watching the match tonight? Anyone up for it? Which pub?"
Good topic title: "Rugby: England vs. Scotland, 14.Sep.2007 - Who here is watching it and where?"
Note, there are no hard guidelines for distinguishing between football (soccer) and American football. But please try and keep it in mind to some how make it clear which one you're talking about.
By the way, remember that all moderated titles are publicly logged.
