Fifty ways to quit your job

So you've been offered a great new job and can finally leave your underpaid and underrated job. You loathe the manager. How would you go about quitting?
Would you, for instance:

1) Blindside the manager with the news by announcing your imminent departure in the team meeting, explaining how you're sad to leave, but you just can't pass up this opportunity to double your salary while lessening your workload? (smirk)

2) ...

Invite all of your colleagues out for drinks , as you are now earning so much, but forget to invite the manager.

2. shag the boss. hate fuck. get fired. no reference reqd.

Book all annual leave that is owing to you and everything you are entitled to for the calendar year ahead as one block. On the last day before you go on holiday write your letter of resignation. Post it on the way to the airport.

I did this once - came home to a lot of messages on the answering machine.

It was a good feeling. When I got back from holiday the dust had settled, I had two weeks left of clearing up and handing stuff over and couldn't take any new work on.

When I was a teenager, I quit my summer job at McDonald's by throwing my apron in the manager's pimply face. Never regretted burning my bridges with the McDonald's corporation, either.
I simply walked out on another summer job after the cops led away the manager in handcuffs.

Drive from your flat in west London in a green and yellow Caterham super seven to your bosses office and slam your letter of resignation down while shouting at him/her. This may lead you into living in a strange village in wales for some time like a prisoner and being attacked by big white weather balloons when you try to leave. You may also search for No 1 for sometime.

Therefore I would not recommend this route.

I did that but the authorities sent me to Munich instead, and every time I try to leave, men in lederhosen come after me , with women in Dirndl to temp me back

Put in an offer for the boss's house and explain why you can now do that.
