Ok so I mentioned this in another thread, but being a baseball fan (and hating the Yankees) I couldn't resist the opportunity to BOO the Yanks "live" and on TV.
Here's the data:
Boston Red Sox v/s New York Yankees
Game starts: 1:30 AM Germany time - with coverage starting at 1 AM. (this would be late Friday night - early Saturday morning)
Balushi's Bar
Rosa Luxemburg Str. 39-41
BerlinFrom the schedule:

NY Yankees vs Boston - MLBThese two bitter AL East rivals renew acquaintances at Fenway Park as Alex Rodriguez and the Yankees look to get one over David Ortiz and the Red Sox.
Any one else up for the rivalry?

Out of interest... how long does a baseball game last?
RED SOX ROCK!A baseball game could last, in theory, forever. But the average game last between 2 and 3 hours.
P.S. The season is over for the sorry Yankees. Sox only have to worry about seeing Pedro in October.

Since my team will likely never make it to the World Series again, I have to vote for anyone but the Yankees.

PES- officially, however, the game is called at 2 AM if there is no clear winner, and then started again the next day...
2AM in the time zome of the game, that is, not Berlin time.

Bump -
1 am (really late tonight...) for those looking for something to do.
Let's call it the "yankee hater party".
I'll provide at least a few "munches" for those daring enough to join the crowd.

I'm not a Yankee hater. At various points in the past I've been a fan of each team, and I respected the other as worthy adversaries. I haven't labelled myself as a fan of any MLB team since the 1994 strike, but I was a Red Sox Sympathizer the last time I checked. (I'm less sure about that now that they've finally won the Series.)

And for the Red Sox fans...
Yankees rule!!

And this is one of the great things about baseball. The long pennant race shows that winning one battle is not the same as winning the war. The story of this weekend series is still being written.

So what happens if it comes down to Mets-Sox in the WS, and Petey Martinez is on the hill?

The victory assured the Red Sox of at least the AL wild-card spot. They held their 2½-game lead in the AL East over New York, which beat Toronto 12-11 in 10 innings.
