Allowed, or will they take it away?

Hello to all the trolly dollies, saftschubser and general members of the mile high club.

I've got a girlfriend over from the USA on business next week, literally 2 days.
I wanted to give her some soaps as a present but she'll only be with hand baggage, are you allowed to take solid bars of soap on board?

Thankyou and ladies remove high heel shoes!
Jack
Bars of soap are absolutely no problem. Only non-solid items fall under the restrictions.

MT I have had them taken off me at Heathrow airport but never at Munich, but you should be ok
Jack
If that's so then either the British have additional regulations or the guy didn't know what he was doing. Next time it happens get him to call his boss.

Cos its a nice little luxury present.
I am not buying them a 50 cent bar to clean the floor with!

In the worst case scenario they may asked them to eat some to prove its ok laugh.gif

Soaps can be a lovely gift - make great drawer scenters too.
Should be no problem with carry-on luggage, talking of which these shaving gel tablets look a great idea.
