Watching the Rugby World Cup in Bamberg

Hello everybody. A few of us from Amsterdam are visiting Bamberg for a friend's wedding which he has infuriatingly scheduled for the day before the Rugby World Cup semi-finals (13 and 14 October). Does anyone have any suggestions for bars in Bamberg or nearby which might show the games on television? I

half an hour away on the train in Erlangen it'll be on in Wheelers bar, hardly near by but still... if you're desperate. Don't really know Bamberg that well so couldn't offer any other suggestions.

I know places in Bamberg that can be guaranteed to show the Bundesliga, but searching the internet doesn't throw up anywhere that's interested in rugby, and the Bamberg rugby club (TV 1860 Bamberg) doesn't have a website. I've even emailed the Rugby-Verband Bayern to see if they have any information. So it may be the train to Erlangen after all!

are there any irish/english pubs which would maybe have it on?

There's the Emerald Isle on the Obstmarkt - its website shows a focus on live music rather than televised sports. I can't find anything out about Mulligans on the Obere Sandstrasse. However, a friend went to Bamberg on Friday and is under instructions to ask around.
