Hi
I work in a jewellery shop in Hannover and mostly the products are behind glass. This is my first job in Germany so I have no idea what sort of things I should say to the customers.
All I have is
"Guten Tag, kann ich Ihnen helfen?"
or
"Guten Tag, kann ich Ihnen helfen order etwas zeigen?"
After that, I become stuck as to what to say...
can anyone give me some ideas?

"Kann ich Sie über den Tisch ziehen?"

Seriously though: "Suchen Sie ewas bestimmtes?" is always a good one. (Are you looking for something in particular?)

Suchen Sie etwas Bestimmtes? - more or less: Do you have a preconceived idea of what you want? EDIT: Yeah, what JS said.
Soll es ein Geschenk sein? - Is it a present?
if ja: Für wen? Wie alt? Welche Vorlieben? - For whom? How old? What style does s/he prefer?
