Hey everyone...

Just moved to Bonn last Friday and want to start meeting people (i think the only person I have spoken to so far is my boyfriend!)so im thinking of organising a meetup in Bonn and maybe tagging along to one in Cologne ...so if anyone is interested or have any ideas of places we could go etc please post.

Im up for it. I wouldnt mind checking out Bonn some more, or even visiting Koln. Haven't really been anywhere apart from home and the office since I got here! So count me in.

Me and ruffypaws are trying to arrange a meet up too! I have been here 7 weeks and still dont really know Bonn and would like to tackle it before moving on to Cologne!!

there's a pub I was just told about today in Bonn that serves Bonns very own beer...Like Koln has Kolsch, Bonn has...I've forgotten the name. But how about a drink there Saturday night? About 8pm? It's opposite the citibank in Bonn Zentrum. We'll be there - some friendly Aussies (Grant is caucasian looking male, and I'm Asian looking female), so if you spot us, come join us.

Is everyone free some evening this week? I live in Bonn too-- been in contact with some of you guys already and it would be nice to have a goodsized bonn meet up. Maybe we could meet at a restaurant one of these nights? Not really sure where we could go but am open to suggestions.

My internet is down at the moment so finding it hard to organise anything as can't check everyday... if someone else could just suggest time and place for Bonn i will be there...

I have a feeling the internet cafe will be making a lot of money out of me for the next couple of weeks...

How about Thursday night? Dinner/drinks? Around 7 30? Near City Centre (suggest places we could go guys!) How does that sound?

Two places that I can suggest that I've wanted to eat at but not done so yet -
1. Bonn Gout - it's a restaurant/ cafe that has amazing hot chocolate, and the food looks pretty fine...on the pricey side though. It is a couple of streets down from the Kaufhof, near that icecream shop Haagen Daz
2. Bo:nsch Brauhaus - a pub that serves Bonn's home brew, and the food looks pretty reasonable. It is on the northern side of Zentrum Bonn, near the Friedensplatz.
Either way, should we book for that time? It gets pretty busy at 7.30...

No worries, Bo:nsch Brauhaus has outdoor seating, so I don't know whether a booking is necessary. We'll be there from about 7.15 or so for a beer, so just rock up...

If anyone is interested, me and Caroline (on Toytown too) are going for a Keltic Brunch on Sun afternoon at Fiddlers. If anyone fancies it, let me know cos I am v keen to meet some more native English speakers!

as many of you introduced themselves.. I am newbie in Bonn, two weeks already here, jsut started my job in Detecon... Well, dont have too many problems with my german (could be better though), but basically wanted to give a small push to meeting new people... So is anyone doing something or wants to do something soon? maybe even this weekend or???

there is an "expat" night this evening hosted by the city I believe. It is at the Hilton in Bonn (near the Kennedy Bridge) and begins at 7 pm. have not been to one as recently arrived myself but thought it worth a try.
