Do you get hangovers from Oktoberfest beer?

I'm putting up this poll because I was curious after Small Town Boy's comment about getting a hangover because the beer is stronger at Oktoberfest. In my fairly exhaustive research into Oktoberfest (14 of them), I've never had a hangover if I only drank the beer. And this isn't a girlie one beer and no hangover, I think my record is about 4.5 Maßes in 4 hours, which is A LOT of beer for me. Still, the next day I was tired, but not in bad shape. How is it with other people?

if it's Spatenbraeu I'm in hangover city, if it's Augustiner then everything's more or less rosy

I am ok after 3 Maß if I get enough sleep but I do tend to have the parrot cage-mouth syndrome the next day as I generally don't drink Helles. Never happens after the same amount of Weißbier.

Depends how much you dance. If I'm dancing I can drink a lot more and get less drunk and hungover than if I'm just sitting around drinking.

If you stick to the beer and nothing els and then go home after leaving the fest it is OK.
But its shots and dropping into a local on the wy home tht are the killers.

like Showem said, its not usually the beer for me, it just being tired the next day, esp. after the Hash saturday.

For me it depends on how much time elapses between finishing drinking and going to sleep - i.e. to what extent I can sober up before passing out. Last night I drank a couple of litres of isotonic drinks after drinking 4 Maß and today I'm only slightly fucked.

I was always amazed at how well I was feeling the day after a visit to the Oktoberfest, especially considering the state in which I arrived home.
As Showem said, tired yeah, but no hangover.

I think that if I drink any other beer in those amounts in such short time, I usually get one, at least a headache.

If that box had been available, that's what I would have picked.

3 or more mass and I'll definitely feel it the next day.. doesn't matter if it's Oktoberfest beer or just normal beer.. and it's getting worse.. 5 years ago, would have been no problem..

Well I'm really tired today after drinking 4 or 5 maß, I think, I always lose count, in Freising yesterday, no headache but definitely secondhand. Should have had a liter of water before I went to bed, which is what I usually do after a wiesn visit.

feeling quite alright myself however I did remember half way through the night that I had to run the trash bin out. Glad I caught that one. I did have a lot of beer, but also a lot of water too.

The next day? There's a next day after an Oktoberfest visit?
