Experiences with DKV and HanseMerkur

Hi,

I am moving to Berlin soon and am currently looking at various options for medical insurance. I have quotes from some international providers and they are expensive with many gaps in coverage. In fact, it may be better to take out a much cheaper basic policy to cover 'big events' and pay for the odd visit to the allgemeinarzt privately.

I also have two quotes from companies within Germany and they are: DKV and Hansa-Merkur? Anyone used them and/or have any positive or negative comments about them? Thanks in advance.

BTW, No record of either company in Toytown

Hi, I bought AXA after comparing with DKV and another company. The price was in the medium range with comprehensive coverage. Plus they are the only one who has the terms and conditions in English. Worth your while to look at it.
