From the other thread:

What about meeting up about 1 pm at:

Echo

Hasenheide 107
10967 Berlin - Kreuzberg
Tel.: 62 72 00 93

Brunch

Samstags: Nein
Sonntags, von 09.00 - 15.00 Uhr

Frühstück

Ja, Täglich
(Restaurant, Bar, Veranstaltungslocation)
(Outdoorplätze: Nein )

which is close to Hermannplatz uban and the volkspark hasenheide. While it doesn't look like the restaurant has any outdoor seating, the park is quite close - so if it's nice we could hang out there after brunch.

Disclaimer: I've never been here, so I can't say re food, price, or reservations.

Sounds good! I'll be there.

There is outdoor seating and the brunch is 11 EUR including tea, coffee and a glass of sekt. Haven't been there myself although I have been meaning to for ages. Unfortunately we have plans tomorrow otherwise I would come along. I would suggest an earlier start than 1pm as the brunch is over by 2pm. Here is the website but only in German

Good to know. Anyone have a problem moving it back to 12:00 (noon) or should it stay 1300 - if everyone's on time?

Hi all! I'm in for tomorrow. Either time is good for me. See you then!

I'm planning to come and bring my Aussie friend. Either time is good for me too.
phoenix-rose
K so Noon I guess... and that way we have plenty of time for the late comers who don't see the updated time - and for the chatting.

See you guys there.

I can't make it...I'm sick sad.gif
GoodGrief
No way I'll be there at noon but I'm coming so save me some food!
gooner_gal
So how was it?
EtainVeronique
Sorry I missed it. I had a heavy dose of much-needed clubbing until 8am yesterday biggrin.gif
I should be able to do the next one, however.

Gooner gal, it was barely ok. Hard to describe, but the buffet was sort of schizophrenic. A selection of cereals, some baked goods and desserts, a few "salads" that were nothing more than cut up veggies without any dressing, Rollmops, hummus and guacamole (but no crackers etc on which to put them), chicken floating in some sort of cream sauces, and, lastly, hard boiled eggs. Glad I tried it because I had read about the place and was curious, but won't be going back.
jtw
Also, there was basically no fruit. Rather disappointing buffet given the price (even if it did include drinks).
gooner_gal
Thanks for the feedback! Don't think I'll be making the trip there after all. Many better (sounding) places in that Kiez smile.gif
phoenix-rose
Goodgrief, I like your description - of course you forgot the 5 slices of salmon, the 3 slices of whatever the other "random" fish was, and the fact there were 3 pieces of watermellon and that jellied cake stuff they had.

Really, I was disappointed - and am very glad I put the disclaimer up. About the best thing I can say for the place is they have great outdoor seating and are right next to the park.

I concur about not going back to the same place as this past Sunday - does anyone have a suggestion for this coming? Mitte, PLB, Tiergarten area? It would be nice to keep the brunches going. Besides, I'm always hungry... smile.gif
jtw
Someone had a suggestion I believe. But I forget what it was.
Leah
I'm new to this but I'd definitely be up for some brunchage some time soon.
MarcJ
I'm up for some brunch this Sunday, but I don't know anywhere by name so I can't make a suggestion.
alex_m
I haven't heard anything about it apart from a review of it here:

http://itu107.ut.tu-berlin.de/wrh/persons/...linerBrunch.htm

But Restaurant "Stella" on Helmholzplatz sounds good. Brunch is 7.60euro, and seems to have everything that was lacking last week!
GoodGrief
I read about Stella and it sounded good. I'd be up for trying it if that works for everyone else.
alex_m
well seeing as the other suggestions are just flying in, why don't we just start a new thread and decide that's where we're going?
MarcJ
Go for it Alex.
