I'm currently looking for work here in Munich. I'm a relatively recent college graduate (May 2006) and have done two internships (translation/Bundestag) here in German in the past year. Now I'm looking for a "real" job, i.e. one that pays more than an internship and keeps me busy for more than 5 months at a time. I've been busy applying for jobs - administrative-type positions - and have noticed that many of these jobs are through Zeitarbeit companies. I'm not opposed being a temp for a little bit, and if it would help me get my foot in the door somewhere that would be great.
Is there any chance of being hired as an American by a Zeitarbeit company? Looking at their websites, many offer their employees an actual work contract. Does anyone have experience/tip in this area? Is it worth pursuing?
For a little bit of background, I have a BA in German and Political Science. I'm technically here at the moment on a student visa until the end of September, so I could legally work for the next month, but after that, I need the whole Arbeits- und Aufenhaltserlaubnis thing.
