Advice on buying a Dirndl - Munich

What material to choose, etc.

winterblues
Hi everyone,

I'll be coming to Germany for a week during Oktoberfest. My German friends would like me to dress in a dirndl. I have only found one place online that seems to have a good selection. It's called Stockerpoint. Is everyone familiar with this company and are the clothes good quality? I am fearful of 100% linen because it wrinkles so easily, but it seems that most of the dirndls are made of this.

I would appreciate some advice from the women. Thanks so much!

Just buy one when you get here. Then you can try it on, get the style and pattern you want. There are a million stores downtown and they are overflowing with dirndls. You can get outfitted for easily around 100 euros. Tons of fun and worth it... and a wicked Halloween costume for the future.

There are tons of cotton and even silk ones.
