I'm looking to get a large poster-like world map. Does anyone know where I can buy one around about Munich city centre?

Cheers,

J

maybe Hugendubel, or possible the stationery shop round the corner from Kaufhof can't remember it's name. or even Kaufhof in their book dept.

No idea where to buy it in real life, but you can order it online at

Hugendubel sells world maps as desk pads, but they are not huge, only about 1 meter by 60 centimetres. They are laminated so they keep long. I have one at home.

Ikea are selling them at the moment, but they're a little pricey at €129

If you don't mind waiting for mail order, these guys do one 388 x 270 cm - but it's self-assembly as it is a wallpaper. Priced 69.80 euros.

Their small version is 270 x 188cm.

@ the "back" of Marienplatz - opposite the back of Alte Peter is a Map shop - can't for the life of me remember the name but I'm sure they would have what your looking for..

The international presses at the Airport have them, so maybe the ones at the Hauptbahnhof will have them too.

There's a place around the corner from the fountain at Stachus.
Coming down Kaufingerstr towards the fountain, turn right after the fountain onto Sonnenstr, and there's a shop tucked away there about ten metres up.
Good selection.

My colleagues and I picked up one of that big sized world maps from Hugendubel last month, pasted on the glass door in our office, so that our manager wont see us sleeping/browsing while passing by.
Are you planning the same unsure.gif

The English Hugendububububububuel near odeansplatz has some really nice maps old style maps at the back of their shop. Always wanted to get one myself but never got around to it.
