This will be my first football match in 16 years. I went to one many moons ago when I was here on exchange and saw Bremen win the German Cup. I was 17 and liquored up on radlers, however, so I don't remember much.

I'm looking forward to the game tomorrow even if it is second league. My neighbor is a huge FC Bayern fan and poo-pooed the idea, but I'm going anyway with some other friends. Have no idea where I'll be sitting or what type of tickets I have, but I'll be there!

Going to see football American style tomorrow at Dante Stadium.
The Beaver
What teams and where is Dante Stadium? Hell?

I know of a few local American football leagues around my area. Just don't keep up with them too much. Got some friends playing for Bamberg and the upper Oberpfalz teams though. The rules are a bit ridiculous, however (from my perspective). Only 2 Americans on the field at a time. Okay, only that rule.

Is what you're going to similar or something more semi-pro?

You will need Virgil to find you the way, otherwise no go.

NERD!!! wink.gif

Wait, Euroval, I just googled this. Are you going to see the Cowboys play? I know a dipshit that coaches for them. He's cool when he's on his meds though. biggrin.gif

Have fun! I've been meaning to make it down for a game. I have no idea what their schedule is, but maybe next time? It would be fun to watch some decent football again.

I am looking forward to watching some soccer tomorrow though. Me and one other Ami with a bunch of Germans who support 1860. Should be fun biggrin.gif

Oh that kind of football, I was thinking of the American kind when you told me you were going to see football. Anyway, 1860 is not my team (mine already won tonight wink.gif), but have fun anyway. smile.gif

Good match today! The Americans on 1860 did well biggrin.gif

Gregg Berhalter's penalty kick to make it 3:1 for 1860 (pic - damn kid stuck his hand up smile.gif )

I did almost fall asleep during the first half. Boring and tons of mistakes by both teams. The second half was much better.

Allianz arena is nothing special. In fact, it would rank pretty damn low compared to most US college stadiums. So, it glows at night. Inside, it's kind of a piece of crap and not designed well at all. So it goes. Compared to the Japanese stadiums I visited during the 2002 World Cup, it's a piece of shit. Maybe I'm too honest sometimes, but it's the truth. For the last year all I've heard is how great Allianz is. I was ready to be awed. I was severely disappointed.

we were at the match yesterday you're right the 2 half was really action-packed.
I do quite like the stadium, we've even strolled along the turf in the summer when some friends were playing a few amateur matches there! the stadium is quite breathtaking when you're standing on the pitch.
we were a bit miffed yday tho cuz they'd put the price of parking up from 5€ 'for one day only' to 10€ grr mad.gif
