Hello!!! did I ask a forbidden question ???

No, just one that no-one really knows the answer to (although I would take the lack of replies as a "nowhere", to be honest). R&B music is not something I would really think of when thinking about Munich.

There is a small club or two in the
Münchner Freiheit area. The
WaWi has George booked at times and he plays everything from Dixieland to KC Jazz and Memphis R&B. Would make a great night out if could get the exact local and date.

I'm guessing by R&B, you mean contemporary R&B and hip-hop. That is hard to find. Closest I've come across is
Erste Liga on Fridays. It's really a hip-hop night, but they usually throw in some R&B and funk as well. There's also places in Kultfabrik/Optimolwerk that play "black music" (as it's called here), but I rarely venture out there since it's a younger/more inebriated crowd. 'Course, that could be exactly what you're looking for...

Night Flight at the airport also has a "black night" on Fridays.

All of the above, plus my standard reply, check out posters and flyers.
I must have seen dozens in the past couple of months for events that might be what you are looking for.
Mioba might well be right on 2Rooms, but that venue also runs lesbian and gay nights as well that might not be your cup of Prosecco.
Venues have different stuff on different nights innit. If you want to have the same kind of music, you'll probably need to change venues one week to the next maybe.

If that is what it is, then I am out. In my world, those two things don't coexist. There is no such thing as Rip&Bop.

Brownie ...here's a
listing for you ...oh, how i remember the
old days when what i now call Urban music was referred to as Swing or Swingbeat ...something that also could 'cause confusion with the original
meaning

i don't know about Munich, but here in Augsburg, there seems to be a distinct lack of "black music" nights! Everwhere seems to be techno techno, which i personally hate, but most people here seem to like. Anyone got any suggestions for a good night out in Augsburg?

NO george green does NOT play at the
WaWi anymore...after years of them screwing musicians for money he finally had enough...fyi they hire eastern europeans who sleep 7 people in two small rooms and work a 7 hour day for about 50 euros each...BOYCOTT the place
George Greene does however play regularly on wednesdays at ALFONSOS in munchner freiheit...i recommend as well Mel Canady and Chessboard on Tuesdays...entertainment varies the rest of the week.
