Stag night / bachelor's party tips for Munich

Bars, nightclubs, strippers, sports, etc.

I am arranging a stag do for 32 people in Munich in September.

We are staying at the Holiday Inn Hochstrasse and as we are only there for two days we will probably just stick to the city centre rather than Schwabing and I am looking to get some ideas for good traditional bars/beergardens rather than Irish bars etc.

Are there any decent beer gardens between that hotel and the city centre that serve food. We will probably head to Hofbrauhaus at some point so somewhere on route to there would be good. I have read about various beergardens on here which look good but location is all important as I cant see 30 thirsty scotsman wanting to walk too far (SBahn is of course an option)

Augustiner beer garden near to Hauptbahnhof looks good and would be handy when visiting the delightful clubs up that neck of the woods. Any recommendations for bars/clubs with adult entertainment would also be appreciated. Somewhere with decent prices with dancers on view - no extras required!

We've got a stadium tour arranged and there are various international football games on that weekend so just need to sort out a few bars.

Thanks

when in september...you are almost oktoberfest season...so depends on dates as to advice

The Hofbräukeller is right up the street (Innere Wiener Strasse), about 7 minutes walk, with indoor options too if you bring your Scottish weather along.

Well - you´re very fortunate in the choice of the hotel - in Hochstraße you will find the Nockherberg Beergarden and Wirtshaus which serves Paulaner beer.
To watch the football the Outland Bar would be ideal as it is also nearby at Weißenburger Platz. But of course it is an Aussie/English bar and many English speaking expats use it.
Near the Hauptbahnhof you will find the clubs you´re after and also round there is the infamous Café Schiller, which is always showing international football.

Hey I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction in Munich.

We are a group of 8 lads coming on a stag weekend to munich, Ideally it would be good to combine some paint balling/go karting as part of the weekend. We would also like to know where the good beer halls are and bars to enjoy good German beer.

It is also a tradition to organize a stripper for the groom has anyone got any contacts for this in Munich??

Thanks a million and I promise we will be reasnably well behaved

Go karting a paintball for a bachelor party??

Where are beer halls?

I suggest you read any article about visiting Munich, inside that article they will talk about numerous beerhalls. Pick a few. Go and drink beer. Or use the search function in the top right corner.

Sorry I thought that went without saying!! Yup any great suggestions on Beer Festivals and Halls would also be greatly accepted!!!

hi guys and girls

Im after abit of advice if possible. myself and 7 others are off to munich at the end of may (thursday night to sunday evening) for a stag weekend...alas, fear not, we're not your stereotypical marauding rabble who've come to rape and pillage. what we do want though is a good time and a rough itinary to save time aimlessly wandering about and also stave off the boredom and fill the day/nights

has anyone here got any recommendations regarding good places to go on each night and also things to do in the day?

Ive read about a place called kultfabrik, which sounds like a shopping centre of pubs and clubs...is it any good?. we're also planniing to go to the hofbrauhaus...before you give me a barrel of abuse - yes i am aware that its very touristy in that place and there are better beer halls, but when in munich etc etc

other ideas are visiting the olympic village and having a game of 5aside at the olympic park arena. but other than that im struggling with filling the day time.

we're all in our mid twenties and like to binge it with the best of them. we're not looking for meat markets necessarily but a bit of banter with the fairer sex in some establishments wouldnt go astray either.

any suggestions people?

thanks

There's some kind of contradiction going on here... blink.gif

You could try a pilgrimage to the Bayerischer Hof to see the spot where the Bavarian Police smashed in Liam Gallagher's teeth. Always cheers me up and gives me a warm feeling when I'm in the area. smile.gif

Kultfabrik is pretty over rated. One good drunk night there would be ok and make sure it's a friday or saturday. The party bus might be an idea if you don't find anywhere to go. It drives around a loop of clubs all night so you can get on/off and change as you please.

Even though the Hofbräuhaus is written up as a tourist attraction it is a very Munich experience. By all means, go there, have a Maß and a pretzel (gross misinterpretation of Brezn), people watch and relax. And climb the Alter Peter church tower.

There are one, maybe two, locations there which could be classed as pubs, the rest are clubs. To be honest, pencil Kultfabrik in for one night, maybe, but outside of that there's plenty of other and better options to keep you amusing, oiled and entertained.

Will drop you further suggestions tomorrow once I get debeerified.

There are a few Volksfests going on in May around the Munich area too, might be worth a whizz.

Volksfestkalendar.

thanks for the suggestions. keep them coming though please.

i suppose the main concern is finding things to do in the daytime really

so to recap ive got a yes on visiting the hofbrauhaus (if only once), mixed reviews on kultfabrik and to check out volkfest.

the other thing im unsure about is whether places employ a strict dress code

Thanks

How about Go-Karting ??? Tis a good laugh...

nb. Suggest Hofbrauhaus visit after and not before!
