Hi all,

I see that this topic has been posted in the past (2005)
But as the EPL (Premier League) starts on sat/sun, and Im a huge liverpool fan,
can anyone either advise me on how to watch the games in Munich at a reliable place or how I can get access to all the games from my home via a TV station. pay tv, internet.

Much appreaciated as I fear i will miss seeing the first game of the season.

Talk to BavSat or Grinner for Sky setup.

Otherwise any and all of the Expat Pubs have the football on.

Some recomendations for expat pubs please? ...

im a fussy bashtard tho as im a big pool supporter, so it would kill me to have to watch the chavs, manure or the gooners instead of my belloved boys in red

well if you don't want to watch the mancs etc i'd advise you go watch Liverpool play on Saturday and not Sunday.
Head to Ned Kelly's and ask for Alex.

I'll prolly be in the Arc for the Villa game if you want to watch it with another Red. Might miss the kickoff though 'cos I've got to get back from the Allianz Arena first.

yes i am really keen,

but it bloody turns out that my missus planned this trip to cologone some weeks ago, and unless i can come up with one great excuse, i aint getting out of it.

but at last i have found a red supporter.

and yes i am amped to watch the games at the arc in the future, or ned kelleys or wherever the games are shown and the beer flows.

I no longer live in Munich (unfortunately!!) but when there for over 3 years watched all televised Reds games at either Gunthers (no longer open I beleive) or Outland. There were always many other Reds there. Outland is near to Rosenheimer Platz S-bahn station. Alternatives are Molly Malones (but will show rugby if it clashes) or any of the other paddy bars, plus as you've already found out The Arc (decent pies!!).

As long as you've got cable tv, you don't need to get a big dish. Go to Saturn on the main shopping street, ask the fella about just signing up for the english footy - careful they'll try and sell you extras. It costs about €100's to get setup - you get a digital receiver. You sign a 2 year contract at €10s a month, so you'll be shelling out €240's, so even if you aren't staying the 2 years it may be worth it. Make sure you know the name of your cable supplier and I think take your passport if you have one.
If you are wooly back then please ignore the above advice.
