Bavarian market at Orleansplatz, Haidhausen

Bayern-Markt - 24.Aug - 9.Sep.2007

MichiS
I was handed out a leaflet about the "Bayern-Markt" (i.e. Bavarian Market)
It is a touristical market offering food, display of craftmanship, traditional music and dances and not to forget beer.
More info available at:
http://www.derbayernmarkt.de/Bayernmarkt/bayernmarkt.html
unfortunately it is only available in German.
But the leaflet had an Enlish section:

The Bavarian market
------------------------
form 24th of August till Sptember 9th at the Orleanplatz daily from 10 a.m. till 10 p.m.

The "Bavarian Market" with its unique concept to cater for the taste of freinds of the Bavarian lifestyle has become an insider's tip since its introduction five years ago.

Enjoy original franconian, swabian as well as upper and lower bavarian local dishes, accompanied by a freshly tapped bavarina beer or a nice glass of franconian wine.

On the stage and moving from table to table you will see bavarina dressed musicians who play their favoorite bavarian songs. Local dancers perform the famous "Scuplattler", a special bavarina dance.

Federal Bavarina tourits-offices display their regional attractions at specially designed booths. Even some free samples are available for tasting.

* Bavarian Traditional Costumes and way of life
* Bavarian beer specialities
* Bavarian food
* Bavarian "Gemütlichkeit"
* daily changing programs
* large open air beergarden

Enlish is exactly what that is, Michi. Great laugh on a Sunday morning. Cheers to Bavarinas everywhere.
(assume not the remotest connection with donriinas)
Edit: or was that your typing?
in which case, sorry *smug chuckles subside*

I tried to get tourists to go there, but from the last couple of years, there were about 3 there...all the rest are bavarians.

It's a good time, though.

(hell, you can't even get tourists to go out to Schleissheim palace...a freaking huge-ass palace...let alone a suburb with a little shin-dig...even if it is more fun than they're gonna find at their damn hostel)

I shouldn't type a 8:15 in the morning. At least I made someone laugh. Wasn't Grinner looking for a giggle. Direct him to this thread
