I have a room to rent for Oktoberfest 2009 (September 17th - October 6th, 2009).

It is located very close (5 mins walking distance) and has excellent connection to subway and tram. Also walking distance to the city center.

I have 2 double and 1 single beds in the room. A max of 7 people can stay comfortably. I only accept groups of 3 or more.

Please send an e mail to michael.wrght@googlemail.com and tell me little bit of yourself if you are interested.

We are a company that hosts tours to Oktoberfest every year, and our staff stays in Munich for 3-4 weeks during the event. We are looking to rent a furnished apartment large enough to accommodate 6 people (so 3-4 rooms). It is important to us to have a kitchen, wireless Internet, and enough space to set up our office (laptops, paperwork, etc.). We also need to be close to a U-Bahn line within a 1-5 stops of the Hauptbahnhof.

If interested in renting next year please contact me by email: ashley@ludustours.com

Thanks so much!

I can recommend this group as responsible, clean and professional; they are not party animals, unruly or unreliable and will take good care of your property and premises.

hey guys, been a long time since i lived in Munich, but am planning on coming back to celebrate my bachelor party. Since i remember Munich get's booked up very fast i was hoping to reserve rooms, etc..asap...am planning on having around 12 people with me and therefore would ideally like to find a centrally located apartment/condo/house to squeeze everyone into. Anybody have any ideas? Mr. Lodge doesn't really have anything that would fit for only a couple of days i don't think. Probably looking at a weekly rental or by night if possible.

Anyway, hope someone out there can offer some guidance.

Thanks in advance!!

Very central but quiet location in Schwabing, close by shops, banks, bars, restaurants etc., 3 mins walk to underground station Münchner Freiheit (direct lines U3/U6 to Goetheplatz, which is the stop for the Oktoberfest fairground). 33sqm, fully-equipped kitchenette with breakfast bar, lounge with couch, desk, TV and stereo, bathroom, bedroom with double bed and built-in closet. 90€ per night, no extra charges.

you could try holidayrentals.co.uk (or, if you're game, the german sister site fewo-direkt.de as I think it might have more Munich properties listed). I've used the site for a number of European vacations, and been quite pleased.

Thanks Butterbean. What about a good hotel in the city center? The only place i've stayed at (because i lived in my apartment) was the Hotel Platzl which was great, but unfortunately their largest rooms are double rooms and i'd prefer a hotel with rooms large enough for at least 3 adults. I'm hoping to find a decent hotel between Marienplatz and the central station (Karlsplatz area). Any recommendations??? Would be willing to pay up to 250 EUR/night.

THanks in advance!

You might try the Arthotel. I took a walk by when I was staying at the Sofitel by the Hauptbahnhof (I don't live there anymore either, but make the occasional trip back), and it looked pretty good - I think it's been redone, but should still be somewhat reasonable and I've heard the rooms are decent sized. There's also the Anna - good and central.

Congratulations! :-)

What do you intend to pay? If your guys are up to a low budget accommodation you can check the hostels for a dorm... They are between Karlsplatz and Marienplatz but still quite close to the centre and the fest.

I am looking for a 2 to 3 bedroom apartment for regular customers (tour agents) for the entire duration of the Oktoberfest. Internet access is a must, they are very clean and reliable and will take care of plants and pets as well. Close vicinity and/or fast access to the Theresienwiese are, of course, a must.

Please PM me with your details, I will pass them on.

Hey all,

Im sure you get plenty of these queries every year, but can anyone recommend cheap accommodation for the Oktoberfest, central Munich.

We are two girls, attending this year for the first time. Hotels and some hostels seem pretty expensive for this time, and we really only need somewhere to lay out heads for a couple of hours each night! No planning on doing very much sleeping.

Any ideas - completely excited, flights booked and just need a bed now!

Fingers crossed.

try one of the campgrounds, it can already get quite chilly at night that time of the year though. So don't forget to bring warm sleeping bags and warm clothes.

Hi,

I will be traveling to Munich for Oktoberfest (for my second time) this fall along with 10 friends. We would like to stay together in a nice apartment in the city or a house (or could stay in 2 apartments in the same building). Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the Munich area and could use a lot of help and direction. Should anyone be able to put me in touch with people offering housing during Oktoberfest, I would be very grateful. We are coming from Washington, DC and very much looking forward to our trip. We need to get our housing plans together right away, so thank you for your help.
