Over 30s night out - dinner, drinks, dancing

Anyone interested in an over 30's night out? It's been quite a while as Allershausen pointed out in another thread and I've been meaning to suggest it for a while. I'm prepared to organise if people show interest and/or throw in ideas of where they want to go. Might be an idea to tag on some dancing after dinner & drinks?...seems Ruthie's recent dance night at the Ü30 party was a success and I missed that! The Big Easy (nr Rotkreuzplatz) might be an idea (cajun cooking). It's got a nice atmosphere and food and cocktails are good All further suggestions welcome! I would tentatively suggest Saturday 25 th Aug. or Saturday 1st Sept.?

Either date sounds good! So does the food and dancing.

Not so sure about the dancing, but the rest sounds good, it's a bit early to commit yet, but I'm a maybe.

Have been wanting to try this place for ages.

Sept 1st is good for me the 25th is a hash saturday.

Can't say yet whether I'll be able to make it, but I'm interested in principle. I love having an excuse to act 20 years younger than my real age.

well, if we go to the Big Easy, bet we can get them to play a jig or two or maybe a few square dances.

Oops folks, seems I forgot (senile dementia already) that I myself have a previous engagement on Sat. 1st Sept. so I'm going to make an executive decision as the organiser and announce Saturday 25th August as the date for the over 30's dinner! Sorry to all the hashers...maybe you can still join for dancing later (or dare I suggest skip a hash)?

Everyone seems to have given positive feedback about The Big Easy and so far no more venues have been suggested...will wait until Mon. 6th Aug incase anyone has any other brainwaves then decide for sure. I'll need to plan ahead a bit as I am away for a week between now and then.

If you do go to the Big Easy, book early if the crowd is very large. You may also want to follow on the Hideout bar/club in Volkartstr. around the corner. No live band that night but blues and jazz will still be played.
Just for info as I won't be going though.

Thanks for the tip about the bar/club Katrina...I know the restaurant gets very busy at the weekends from previous experience...another reason to set the date early and do a preliminary booking.

Important: For information, I forgot to mention in my previous post that the reservation is in the non-smoking area of the restaurant but that doesn't mean smokers are not welcome...just no smoking at the table.
