Before I scour the internet for info in German, I was wondering if anyone could quickly advise me on my situation.

I have a job (call it A), and just got a better, higher paying job ( B ). I would like to work both jobs as job A is very fun, and job B is 'in a professional direction'. As a foreign Student, I'm allowed to work 90 Full days or 180 half days as a part of my visa restrictions.

Questions (please answer in response to bullet number):

i) what constitutes a Full day? I heard any shift more than 4 hours. Is there a maximum number of hours 'workable' in a day, or could I potentially work 10-12 hour days for example? (new job is flexible).

ii) I hear that if I have 2 jobs (and hence 2 Lohnsteuerkarten), then I go into a new tax bracket. How does that work? Is one job classed as tax bracket 1, and the other tax bracket 6? OR am I now always in bracket 6, or do I have to choose which job I want in which tax Klasse?

IF job A is currently in tax bracket 1, and I go to get a new Lohnsteuerkarte, can I give the new (tax klasse 6) card to job A, and take my class 1 card (from job A), to job B? I would rather be deducted less tax from the higher paying (more hours) job B.

As a student, is there a limit to how much tax-free income I can make? And therefore, if they're taking a lot of tax from my class 6 job, can I just claim it back at the end of the year?
