I've been hit by lots of email and phone scams so far, but this is my first experience to be a lottery winner - by post
Clearly, it's a scam. Following is what I received by post about a week ago
The envelope:
Happy reading, Bandu. Edit: I do not remember giviing out my name and address to anyone, except for the FRA Airport authorities to deliver my lost luggage.

I've gotten this scam a few times. No idea how they got my address, probably the person who arranged my apartment (through my company!) when I first moved here.
I laugh at anything that asks for my bank details. At least it appears, they did not ask for your TAN numbers

I got one of these letters this week too. I often get various letters stating I have won something in a lottery etc Can't believe they really think people are so gullible that they'd reply giving their bank details! It seems these days that mail shots are the in thing...banks offering loans, supposed lottery wins, holidays etc all for "free". I get non-stop calls too to the same effect (at least 2 a week).

The first clue would be that "For TT only" written across it. Obviously a fellow TTer is having a go with you.

I've never received anything like that in the mail.

Looks more angled to identity theft than anything. Unless, of course, you really did buy a lottery ticket in Spain and give your details
