Darts evening in Hannover

Poke holes in round objects

Hi all,

The Hannover4EnglishSpeakers group is having a darts evening on Monday, July 30th at 7 pm at the Shakespeare Pub in Hannover. You can find a map to the pub here:

and their website here:

If you don't have your own darts, the Shakes has some loaners, or you can buy some at Karstadt Sport in Große Packhofstraße. I'll also be bringing my own set.

See you there!

Cheers,

Thank you for organising the darts evening when I´m not there! I´ll shall be playing pool with my dutch mate in Amsterdam that evening.

Loaners - lonely psychopaths who create bloodbaths using darts?

As if *you* would show up, you dart-hating maniac.

"I'll shall"? Is this some new form of the Queen's English you Limeys are trying to ram down us Colonials' throats?

No no no, that's only on Wednesdays. Mondays it's stabby stabby with extroverts.

Cheers,

Re "I´ll shall", sorry, must have smoked something in advance...

And on Tuesdays it´s poking with small pointy things for perverts! And as for ramming things down people´s throats, well... That´s probably Thursdays - extreme sado-maso night?!

The queen´s not english, she´s german. Aye, the old ones are the best ones!

I don´t actually hate darts, I just don´t want to make a complete prat of myself. These are deep seated insecurities we´re talking about here!

And 'er kids are basically half-Greek half-German part-Scottish with some other interesting bits thrown in.

Oi! Do they 'ave any English bits in 'em, aside from last Monday's beef roast (which was probably Argentinean anyway)?

Oh come now. Don will probably beat all of us anyway, so you would have good company in your humiliation.

(I haven't played regularly myself for a good 15 years, and wasn't too good even then. The only reason I played "regularly" was because I had my own dartboard and darts and liked to play at home, but seldom dared to venture into a pub and challenge anyone...and even then I preferred to play cricket, or what the Limeys call Tactics, because it's easier to play than regular '01.)

Played "Round the clock" a couple of times, but that was it. We could all just watch Don play [s]with[/s] against himself I suppose. Actually he´s not fat enough to be a proper darts player.

The Queen´s a bit like a haggis then, no one´s entirely sure what´s in it either...

Played a few games of pool in Amsterdam - lost miserably! My Dutch mate has had more practice apparently. Oh well.
