Remarks:
I made a reservation for 2 and we ran about an hour late, I called and they happily kept the table that I picked out open for us. Anyway, the place was nicely decorated. The Menu had alot to choose from and was clearly written in Thai and German. It also stated "Scharf" next to any menu item which was burning hot. I had a chicken dish with Cashew sauce (Awesome) and my gal had a King Prawn dish which she liked so much I only got a small taste.

Food was served separate from the plate on small black skillets in the center of the table and a MONSTER bowl of rice to share at the table. We ate and drank for nearly 2 hours. The staff was friendly and quick with help. We did NOT go home hungry. We were later informed that the restaurant was awarded Best Thai Restaurant for now the second year in a row by a local critics magazine.

Then the walk back to the car. In good weather, the walk through the older ritzy part of Wiesbaden at night is kind of enchanting and romantic but we had rain.. and it would have been nice if there was parking closer to the place.

The place is, as far as family goes, not what I would call a family restaurant.. I couldnt see kids in booster seats or imagine "mommy mommy mommy" every few minutes. but for calm and the well behaved, it would work.

All in all the only thing that was bad was downtown parking.. but if you dont mind a nice walk after dinner... then it isnt that bad. My Gal and I will be making this our aniversary restaurant.

Remarks:

Once you drive up the hill, the parking is right on the edge of the castle boundries. Walking in on a warm night, the scenery is awe inspiring.

I took my gal here for one of her bigger birthdays. 4 star and proud to show it off. Burg Rheinfels is a castle on the Rhein high in the hills of St Goar south of Koblenz. Actually part of the castle itself, the restaurant looks over the Rhein river from both inside and the terrace outside. The menu is kind of "Today's Menu" and was very limited, contrary to the wine and drinks list which was quite impressive. Food is served in 4 Star manner. Food was outstanding but in smaller quantities.

The view is spectacular. The interior is rustic decor and candle lit. Very attractive decorations. and although the food was very good, I wish I would have had more to choose from. There are usually 2-4 main courses.. these include their appetizers and sides.

Afterwards you can head out.. or you can go to the pub at the other end of the enterance.. There is always something going on there and the people seem to have a great time.

Stinkweed, why not add your reviews to the TT bars and restaurants guide for Wiesbaden (or in whichever region the restaurants you visit are located in)? There aren't any entries in the Wiesbaden section yet, so I am sure your excellent reviews would be much appreciated.
