Spina is very much loved by Germans in Munich, but I noticed recently (on my way to my Italian course, as it happens) that there is a little Italian deli/cafe on the way into the Hertie Markthallen in the Sperrgeschoss at Hauptbahnhof (ie. under Bahnhofplatz).

They have an absolutely huge selection of Italian meats and sausages and by the chatter not only are the staff all Italian, but lots of Italians buy there.

Again by the by, one of the staff was berating a regular (Italian-speaking German) for asking for an 'espresso'. 'You wanna espresso, you get a train. You wanna coffee, you ask for caffè'. (OK, she was speaking German, not English, but I can't do the stereotype properly rolleyes.gif )

spina has a lot of interesting stuff, unfortunately not what you are looking for.
Spina is just a "cheap" hard discount, in italy would not survive 1 month, but the selection of wines is good.

Sometimes I've found REAL italian stuff in one of these feinkost around munich. In the one close to nordbad I've found
a very good "mortadella di bologna" and "lardo di colonnata".

If you find those sausages please let me know.
