Hello everyone,

I'm moving to Frankfurt in a few weeks and I heard that phone and internet set up will take at least 3 weeks. So I'm thinking of getting a chip and prepaid cards to use on my mobile phone till then. My questions are: If I plan to call overseas a lot, once I get a landline, what's the best way to do it? International dailing codes or speedworld cards? Do speedworld cards work for any destination in the world?
For the mobile,do I just go into a Vodaphone store (for example) and ask them for a chip and prepaid cards?
Are there call centers in Frankfurt?

I know there are a lot of opinions over these matters but hearing different experiences will help me choose what's best for me.

Thanks in advance for your time:)

Just one word: VoIP

With little tweaking this can be integrated with mobile telephony at no extra cost. Call from anywhere, to most of the world, almost for free.

If you need professional help, I know a specialist that is moving and needs some extra cash smile.gif

Or just get your prepaid mobile and/or landline and go to a call shop and buy an itnernational calling card- tell them where you'll be calling as most are country/region specific and you can get better deals. Usually they cost around 5€ (depend on the card though) and from a landline to a landline can give you about 400 mins...

You don't get as many minutes from your mobile but if you tell them thats what you'll be calling from then they'll give you the best card for that.

And there are tons of call centres and internet cafes
