Motorcycle parking at Munich Airport

Hi,

A question for fellow motorcyclists. I am keen to know if there are any official or unofficial good places to park a motorcycle at Munich airport.

Yesterday I couldn't find an official alternative to the car park. Anyone parked elsewhere without problems?
It seems just crazy to pay car prices for a motorbike.

I did see one motorcycle parked on level three on the pavement behind car park 20, but I'm worried I will return to find my bike has been exploded or towed away.

Anyone experience or suggestions?

But why should you object to paying car-like prices if you get all the advantages offered a parked car: Roof over your vehicle, short walk to the terminal etc.

Thanks, I tried them there are no different provisions for motorcycles. But the answer to your question is rather obvious, Motorcycles take up less space and usually this is reflected in the price of parking. You can park at least 4 bikes in the space it takes for your average car.

A Smart pays the same rates as a BMW station wagon. Parking space is parking space. But you could get in touch with the powers that be and request them to build motorcycle spaces with a lower charge. Bet they never thought of it themselves.

I've left my bike parked up all day by the Audi showroom/Munich Airport Center, just up on the footpath but out of the way. Never had any tickets.
There were usually one or two other bikes parked around there as well, just be discrete.

Not sure what the powers that be would think if you left it there for several nights, if that is what you are planning on doing.
