Sorry. I had me mouth full.

Dec 12 2007, 1:40 pm
And I had to wait until the 4th month before I found enough spunk to win it!
December could be interesting though, if the current leader wins it , then we know he is a very talented boy...!

It's just about practice Yorkie.
What if Mr. Lions wins it?
Jimbo
Dec 12 2007, 5:31 pm
You've not seen him naked have you? Let's just say that I'm pretty sure he won't win it.

Is there something we should know about you two?

You're not proper mates until you've seen each other naked - surely you know that Sin?

Yes Sin, that was my point exactly, he is currently in the lead...hence the talent, in the contortionist front. But Jimbo obviously has it down pat

The turn of this conversation makes me damn proud of my six points last week.
...and we'll have no questions about last year, thank you.
Just a bad week JJ. At this stage of the season anybody can still win it. Jimbo being top is like when Charlton were top, or when Wigan went top. You just know it can't last.
Jimbo
Dec 13 2007, 11:06 am
We shall see, Sin. Fact is, over the last 4 months the best manager of the lot has been...
me.
Sin
Dec 13 2007, 11:40 am
Well Jimbo, that must of been a hell of a lot of blow jobs then. Explains the grin on Lion's face Tuesday evening.

Besides, being top of the league in December is nothing compared to being top in May.
Jimbo
Dec 13 2007, 11:44 am
That's true enough - we've still got 5 months to go. That said, it's better than being 6th...
Sin
Dec 13 2007, 12:28 pm
6th is in touch with the lead maladdio, rather than... where are Spurs at the moment?
Jimbo
Dec 13 2007, 1:09 pm
1st is actually IN the lead however.
Well you go crow about it Jimbo me old fruit. Enjoy the moment while you can mucka. But watch yer 'arris. Calamity is well under his 'butterfingers' quota for the season, Chimbonds is part of the holiest defence in the Premiership (barring Derby County, of course), Laursen's off to Italy in January, Keane has another two games on a ban, Johnson ain't been getting a start and after last week's hat-trick and last night's winner by The Yak I can't see him getting one neither, and Berb is just a lazy Malcolm MacDonald wannabe this season. So crow all you like. But remember, there are 2 managers within an appearance and a goal of the lead.
Jimbo
Dec 13 2007, 3:04 pm
Funny you should say that but Keane, Johnson and Chimbonda have all left You Essexy Thing as of yesterday. Laursen situation is under review. African Nations Cup is the one people will have to watch come January.
Yorkie
Dec 13 2007, 6:36 pm
African Nations Cup, good point,
and as I currently have no players who will be going to Ghana, my transfers will be of my own choosing.
Well in reality they will probably be forced on me by horrendous, career threatening injuries to all my star men!
I agree with Sin though, 5 months is a long time in TTFL, especially with the FA Cup kicking in soon.
The actual average weekly points difference between the top of the league and the bottom is approximately 7 points, not yet halfway through the season, this could easily turn round, a booking one way and a goal the other and its reversed.

I now have the cheapest team in FF at 48.3

not bad or a team sitting in 5th.. just need to wait for Lions January tfr window. Grrr
Lot of players expected to return for the two big games tomorrow: van Pussy, Lotsagas and Phlegm for The Arse, Carvalho for the Russians, outside chance of Finnan for the scousers. Drogba is naturally out, but they reckon he'll be back within a couple of games because of the type of surgery and the quick heal.
flashmac
Dec 15 2007, 1:17 pm
can afford all of them
'ere, if you're on 48.3 you must have made at least one transfer... and I'm guessing Drogba out. If they were made before 5pm Friday 7th Dec can you let me know who they were so I can track over this weekend? If they were made after 5pm Friday 7th then I don't need to know until next weekend.
Sorry, I confused you with komland. Of course you haven't even got Drogba to start with.
Interesting and wuick start to the day. 5 goals in the first 12 minutes.

i posted that before i read your blog, i saw cockney on your profile. i was like you are with naarrich. i just thought what a waste of energy getting worked up about a football club. i will go as far as to say naarrich actually try and play good football, hasnt got them anywhere except a win in the old olympic stadium in munich and a milk cup final. when i was in middle school i supported forest simply because of brian clough, then my brother got a car and off to ipswich we went and never looked back. 1978 a great year for fa cup finals i think you would agree.

You've done better than some mate, and you've only played (or not played in Elano's case) 4 of your 11 players. Today's the big day... although I very much suspect we're going to see nil-nil or 1-0 scores.
And talking of which, I've got to be 4 hours on a train while the games are on today. Is anybody going to be following the scousers v United and The Arse against the Russians? I'll be leaving home at 2:30, so I'll have the starting line-ups for the first match. What I need is somebody following on the BEEB's sport page to SMS me the starting line up of the 2nd game and significant action involving substitutes, cards, goals and assists. Any takers?

first of january is tuesday. there are games both on tuesday and wednesday. so my understanding is, the transfers included in the second transfer window that are submitted before 28th, will be effective on wednesday right not tuesday?
Post No. 1 of this thread:
QUOTE (3 Lions @ Jul 17 2007, 2:13 pm)

2. Transfers
You have a maximum 16 transfers to make during the season, this will be split in to 2 transfer windows.
A maximum of 7 can be made up to December 31st
A maximum of 7 can be made from January 1st onwards
You have 2 emergency transfers that can be used in either window should the need to use them arise.
If you do not use your full allocation during any of the windows, then those transfers are lost, they cannot be carried over.
Transfer cut off is every Friday at 17.00hrs, these will take effect from the following Wednesday. Any received after this time will take effect the Wednesday after.
I read that to mean that providing you have your transfer requests in by 17:00 Friday 28th December, they will take place from 0:00 Wednesday 2nd January.
