QUOTE (Sin @ Oct 29 2007, 1:38 pm)

Week's Prediction:
5 Super Brits 330*
8 Sin City FC 321**
*Under investigation for being over budget
**Not including 7 missing points.
I noticed I was 50.1m too, Lions maths but be as dodgy as his FF team.. Im sure Im good.
I also noticed that last week that your predictions had us both on 285 points (but we both ended on 278) so we both lost 7 points somewhere.. although I let it go

however, if your going to investigate it, can you look at mine too..
I'm off to check my transfers and make sure it was Lions fault and not mine..

I vote for Sin to do all the ground work seeing as he always has something to say about how it is done currently

50.1m might be right..
Here's my account..
I 'think' my team value was 49.8 and I made the following tfr:
warnock 3.1 --> arbeloa 3.4
The problem was I thought warnock was valued at 3.3 as I cleary stated this in my email to Lions. Perhaps why he didnt spot it.

(apologies to Lions too)
I've no problem if the tfr is revesred, I wouldn't benefit from it either.
Jury?

Mr. Lions is the jury, but you might want to ask bluedave what happens, because he made the same offence last season.

I've PM'd Lions in on the case..
Unsure if it makes the blindest bit of difference but:
1) Shouldn't that have been caught before the tfr was agreed/made?
2) the guy I brought in didnt even play.. thats punishment enough.
IMO best way to handle this (taking point (2) into the consideration):
- I'll make another tfr this week to bring the value under 50m again..
I'll await the verdict.
flashmac
Oct 31 2007, 3:30 pm
Not sure if Lions is away as not heard from him...
I'm away on Friday morning so if there is no verdict out, then I take it I need to bring my team value back under 50m asap!
So here my tfr for this week (ive emailed Lions too), but you can all see it here first..
Torres OUT --> Robbie Keane IN
Hope that sorts it all out and everyone (sin) is happy.

Lions must be here. He is writing to other threads but somehow avoiding this one
We need clarification from 3 Lions, but I think you have to transfer out the offending last player who broke the £50m limit.
flashmac
Oct 31 2007, 4:18 pm
OK
option 1) Last weeks tfr is undone, (do i get the extra points

)
option 2) torres OUT and robbie keane IN (that brings it well under 50m)
Whatever Lions says goes and so I'll go with that.

Thought I might show up to take my well deserved abuse for the week and see the dream of "Wenger's Lovechild FC" slip a bit further away from me...
On the plus side, i got a 50 inch TV as a housewarming gift so I've acquired satellite and Setanta USA - so my intelligence gather capabilities have expanded exponentially. Now if only I could somehow eliminate all the fooking egg chasing I'd be happy.
A whole 50" widescreen huh? I bet those six goals looked spectacular.

Take a look at post 420, Lions can't update at the moment.
I found the post where bluedave went overbudget last year:
QUOTE (3 Lions @ Sep 22 2006, 11:00 pm)

Sin - Read the comments box on BlueMoons team sheet. It says that Olef Mellberg will not score any points for this weekend at all(should he score any, he's essentially banned from Bluemoons team this weekend). BlueMoon FC has put in a transfer which comes in to effect next week, which will bring the team balance back down to 50m.
Looks like if a manager goes overbudget, that the last player picked scores no points, and another transfer must be used to transfer out that last offending player to bring the team within budget.
Can you confirm 3 Lions?

option 2) torres OUT and robbie keane IN (that brings it well under 50m)
Whatever Lions says goes and so I'll go with that.
Cheers Sin,
fair enough, my player didnt score any points anyway and is now injured

karma!
In that case heres my tfr for next week (option2 above). I've already PM'd & emails Lions with it.

Here is this weeks table. MotM for October is Expat Mat, 10€ is on its way back to you.
@Sin - File fixed, you have your 7pts back.
@Flashmac - Any points that Arbeola has score you are invalid for the weeks you were over budget. You've sent me a transfer to fix the error, which comes in to effect this weekend. Total points deduction is 0pts.

You sent me the PM on the 26th, transfers take effect the following Wednesday e.g. the 31st. Reason I'm doing it this way is thats how the telegraph points are updated. Last year got to be a bit of a headache when transfers were done and midweek games happened cos I'd decided at the time to allow changes to go in the very next Saturday. I'd have people in the league scoring points for one of the games and not the other.
