Companies for shipping a bike to Italy

Im moving from Germany to Italy and would like to take my bike with me - any suggestions of companies that might transport it there? I have contacted DHL and they say it would cost around 240 euro!! I have to return to the UK for a while first - so can't take it on the plane...

Have you checked with DB? Perhaps you could have it sent to Italy and have it held at left luggage, or maybe have a friend send it once you get to Italy.
