Whenever I travel outside of Canada for a longish period of time I always get massive cravings for chicken wings (/buffalo wings). Not that I eat them often back home or anything, but they're a nice treat.
Can anyone recommend a good place for wings in Munich? If I'm going to go out of my way to find some, I want to make sure that they're going to be good. (My conditions for "good" include: meaty, saucy, and spicy).
Cheers!

Yeah, I miss the "ass burners" from back home in Minnesota. Most bars had'em for 10 cents each, with $1 beers (including all microbrews). I really miss that too...just not gonna happen here, no one likes hot foods and no one'll give their beer away that cheap.

Okay, so maybe I won't be able to get the best wings of my life in Munich, but surely some place must have at least
decent offerings. I got three wings or so on a mixed plate at
Asado Steak the other day, and they just didn't cut it...

Give the chickens a break!
On the slaughter line, birds are supposed to have their throats slit in order to kill them and drain their blood. Then they go through a tank of scalding-hot water to remove their feathers. But because the system is faulty and inefficient, many birds—millions each year, according to the USDA—miss the blades that are supposed to cut their throats and end up in the scalding tank while they are still conscious. Because their throats have not been cut, their blood is still inside them. When they emerge dead from the scalding tank, their flesh turns bright red. The birds are literally scalded to death.

...I'm confused. Are you saying that this makes their wings taste less delicious?

I guess you don't care for Fois Gras then.

Rewe has Maple Leaf brand Chicken wings for 2.99 (think its a 250 gm bag) Niagara BBQ and Rocky Mountain Honey Garlic. They are great, and you cook them at home.

I can vouch for that and my 3 year old loves the Garlic and Honey ones too!

The
Hard Rock Cafe actually has really good wings. If you order the "Heavy Metal" variety (don’t listen to the waiter's warnings) they are almost as good, and as spicy, as any sports bar in the States.

Thats true. The waitress kept asking me if I was sure that I wanted them "Heavy Metal" (very spicy) and even came back from the kitchen to confirm for the chef once again that I wanted them really hot.

I think Papasitos has the best wings in Munich.
Not to expensive and enough to get you full
I only go there for the wings!

Personally, the best Chicken wings I've encountered to date, have been in

Howdy,
Thanks for all of these recommendations, guys! I will try to check them out during my time in Munich... Maybe I will sample them all and report back to you my findings.
As for the buffalo wings thread, I kind of disregarded that because it is over three years old.
Cheers!
