Apparently this restaurant/cafe is especially for parents with small kids (not that I have any!) . You might want to check it out for one of your meet ups.

All Mommys ... we could have a meet up next week - say like some place in a Park.. amongst common parks - I could name Gunthersberg Park, Ostpark, or a couple of more nice silent parks I know close to
Bornheim (if convenient to u). We could fix up a common meeting place for next week at a day convenient to all. n hav like a playgroup sort of thing. How does that sound?

Hi Anita... welcome back. I don't think anyone has planned a group meeting. I met up with Claudia and that has been going great. Looks like there were two suggestions:Cafe Schiffer in
Sachsenhausen and Little Stars & Friends. Either sounds fine.
We can all meet up next week if there is an interest.

Hi
I am planning to organize a meet up which is long pending... I thought of having it next week either a tue or thur (I have my son's play group on wed).. Since we could not meet at the communication museum and that was suitable for all I thought we could meet there... Timings I suppose around 2.00pm should be fine for all (we can fix one suitable for all).
All who can make it please PM me your phone number... so that any change in schedule can be informed..
Suggestions are always welcome.. please feel free to put in your opinions too..
Regards

Hi everyone,
I live in London but will be moving to Germany (Rhein Main Area) beginning of next year and would love to join your group. I have got a two year old son and we are looking forward to making new friends ;-) I am German but have been living in the UK for 7 years now. My son is German / British Indian and I am raising him bilingually. I know that there are quite a few international schools / pre-schools in the area, but haven't found any English speaking playgroups yet... would love to meet other mommies to organise play dates, visits to zoo, park, picnics etc with..
Looking forward to hearing from you...

Hi Ladies, the next "moms meet up" will be on December 7th. I suggest we meet at "Literaturhaus". I´ve never been there, but a friend said it was spacious enough for kids and the staff is friendly. They don´t have toys so you might want to take something along for the little ones!
The address: Schöne Aussicht 2.
Accessible via tram 14 stop:Allerheiligen Hospital. then walk back towards the Main. Or if you live close enough a walk over Ignatz-Bubis Bridge from
Sachsenhausen. You can´t miss it, it´s a beautiful big white building at the intersection.
I´m going to try to reserve a table for us,depending on how many are coming. Please let me know if you can make it.
Thanks, Nadine

The Literaturhaus has a café called Paris. I believe it´s the only one in the building. At the moment we are about 5-6 ladies meeting on Friday!
I´ve been trying to get a hold of someone at the café, unfortunately the phone is always busy! Will keep trying, don´t think we´ll have a problem getting a table, though ! Will keep everyone informed!
C u there,

I'm going to try and make it this Friday. For those ladies going, I was wondering how old everyone's kids are?
My eldest daughter is 4 1/2, son is 2 1/2 and baby girl is 5 months.
Hope to see you soon!
Hello All, Sorry for replying so late- I saw the post only now.
I (and my 22 month daughter) will also try to make it for the meetup on Friday.
Looking forward,

Hello everyone,
I am a little Aussie that moved to Frankfurt last November from Montreal, Canada with my husband and our one year old daughter. I have really loved the experience so far of living here in Frankfurt. I have found a couple of really good playgroups for my daughter but i would really like to meet some mum's and find some play friends for my daughter.
When i saw this group i was very excited at the thought of meeting other English speaking mum's and their children. I was was wondering if another meet up was going to happen anytime soon?
I look forward to hearing from you

Hi & welcome!
I was thinking about this too. We can try to set something up and see who shows up.
I live in the
Westend with my daughter (4 1/2), son (2 1/2) and daughter (7 months).
Do you know this restaurant, Vapiano on Bockenheimer Landstraße ? I've seen other groups of moms and babies/young kids meeting there from time to time, and it seems pretty central.
Perhaps we can try to set something up in the next week or two?

http://www.vapiano.de/locations/content_lo...n=f2&pics=9Let me know if this works for you, and what dates are best and we can post another thread to see who shows up. If nothing else, the two of us can have a coffee.

My wife would be interested - We have a nearly 10 month old daughter! We live out of town though and only usually come in to FFM at weekends!

Vapiano is right next to my office, and I would definitely recommend avoiding the rush hour (between noon and 1:30). Whenever I go, I try to get there before 12 because otherwise it gets totally packed in there, and that isn't really a pleasurable or relaxing experience for you or the kids. It also gets quite loud in there too, of course.
Apart from that, it's a nice place to meet up, there are some interesting dishes on the menu and I quite like the cool "swipe card" payment system. Have fun!
@ Deatr28: are you thinking of going along?
Valya
Feb 4 2008, 5:21 pm
Yes, there is certainly the noontime rush.
I was thinking perhaps at 10 or 10:30, or else in the afternoon, maybe 2:00pm?

@jumpsuit: I'm not a mum - but I can drop my wife off and then find somewhere for a beer!

I know you're not ... and the idea with the beer sounds strangely enticing. What date is it again

Well, I haven't heard suggestions for dates, so I'll throw one out and let's see what happens.
Let's try to get together on
Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 10am at Vapiano on Bockenheimer Landstraße.
