Equestrian property rental

How and where to rent a house with paddocks

Does anyone know if there are any equestrian areas commutable to Munich, or any agents that specialise in renting these sorts of properties? I have been scouring the internet for hours but am getting nowhere?

There are loads of equestrian areas communtable to Munich. People have horses here like people in the States have golf memberships - they're everywhere. For example, I live in Unterschleissheim (>20 minutes to Munich center) and there are at least 3 stables on my street and a few other people who keep horses (their own) on their own property.

My colleague actually has 8 horses in her stable (4 of her own, 4 belonging to other people) and takes care of them (with help) while still working 32 hours a week at my company. And she just rents this house and stable from someone.

She told me to look for a magazine that you can get anywhere called 'Bayern's Pferde Sucht and Sport' (Bavaria's Horse Breeding and Sport). She said it can be found anywhere that magazines are sold and that there is an advertising section in the back with lots of people trying to rent out houses with barns/stables etc. And it is especially for the Munich area.

That is quite a big ask:

1. Rentable
2. Commutable
3. Paddocks

Would be easy to purchase, but it is not a "typical" rental type property 'cos of course most tenants do not have horses, and so a landlord would not usually look to rent that
type of thing.

Thann which is a mile from us in Holzkirchen is defnitely horsey country. It has a polo ground where Tiger tells me Prince Charles has played. There is even a horsey pub with a bar you can tie your horse to to "park" it when you got for a pint.

I am well in favour of these stables as they help to fertilise my garden! smile.gif

If you Google earth Thann I am sure you will see all the horsey areas.

'Bayern's Pferde Sucht and Sport' (Bavaria's Horse Breeding and Sport)

It's Pferdezucht, although some would say that it is a Sucht (addiction) - sorry, I almost left it because it fitted so well. smile.gif
Hope the poster finds somewhere, but perhaps finding horse lodging might be easier?

Well, my colleague says the properties to rent are out there (she found hers through word of mouth) and most likely you will find them in this magazine. Maybe they have an online version...
aha, here it is...

Bayerns Pferde, Zucht und Sport

Additionally, I will keep my ears and eyes open in my area (Riedmoos - part of Unterschleissheim).
