Recommended beauty salons - Berlin

Beauticians that offer waxing, facials, etc.

Hi All,

Would love to get a proper wax done. A place that specializes in waxing would be fantastic and of course English would be a bonus but more interested in the beautician being experienced.

Can anyone recommend a good place?

Cheers

senzera is a specialist waxing chain and known for their bargain prices. Haven't used either of the Berlin ones but have had good service with them elsewhere.
Hopefully some of the Berlin crowd have other recommendations too.

Wax in the City on Alte Schoenhauser Strasse. Not all their waxers speak English but you can request one that does. Clean and affordable and central...can't ask for more!

Hi!

I am in need of a decent but not too expensive facial cleansing. Could anyone recommend anything in Mitte or Pr.Berg area? How much does it usually cost?

Thanks!

But does anyone have the name of a good salon or esthetician? it's a pretty personal service, I'd love a personal recommendation. I know it's weird.

hey there fellow san franciscan smile.gif

check out wax-in-the-city.de it's in german, natuerlich, but the site is also very straight forward, there are 2 locations in berlin and you want to pick the one in mitte, which is right by hackischermarkt, and if you are staying with gls, then it's actually walkable from kastanienallee (live there myself). or just take the m1 to hackmkt and walk a few blocks. can't personally recommend a specific esthetician, as i only went once for eyebrows, but the whole place is very clean and staff are friendly.

I go here http://www.cosmetic-lounge-berlin.de
I will never wax, give me sugar any day!

From personal experience sugaring kind of sucks for bikini wax cuz you need something super strong :-/

Hi Mascha, I get my facials done at this place near Hackescher Markt station:

www.k-k-kosmetik.de/

The prices are OK, but make sure you ask for Fr. Krtschil (Krich-ill). She's good (has a soft but thorough touch), but doesn't speak much English.

I get my waxing done at both Senzera and Wax in the city, but prefer Senzera as I'm not a big fan of the Brazillian wax that the latter uses, although they do walk-ins whereas Senzera requires you to book.

And if you need somewhere to get your eyebrows done I can recommend you a place in Wedding.

I have used Rio Waxing in Gormannstrasse several times. http://www.rio-waxing.de/ The premises aren't very luxurious and it does feel a bit like being at the doctors, but it is run by real Brazilians who use warm wax without strips. No complaints on the service and on the end result. As most of the depiladoras (as I think they are called there) are actually from Brazil, it doesn't matter if you can't speak German as they can't either. The reception staff speak English.

I have never been to Wax in the City as every time I tried to get an appt, they told me there was a 1 hour wait!

so by the way, I went to Wax in the City and it was awesome. My esthetician didn't speak English but was very sweet and gave me a good pair of eyebrows smile.gif

Hi all!

I need some waxing done, you know, eyebrows and such, and I have a lady I go to down near Kleistpark, but I live near the Sbahn station Bellevue and would like to find something closer to me. Can anyone suggest a good and inexpensive waxer or salon? thanks!
