Concert: Hot Hot Heat @ Atomic Cafe

Hot Hot Heat are back. Tickets going for 20€ @ München Ticket.

Ciao Forum-ers! Officially living in Munich as of the 1st weekend in Sept... can't wait. Am a fan of German beer (beat's Molson), and, well, being social.

Currently living in Zurich, which is great. (If you have any questions about Switzerland, let me know).

Anyway, looks like I need to hit the ground running social-wise after getting in! On Monday night, September 3rd, there's a really great band in town I just found out! Hot Hot Heat, at the Atomic Cafe. It's a really fun venue (have been there a bunch). My Zurich-based amigas are all gonna be working (it's a Monday night after all), but they'll be jealous hearing stories about the show!

So - who's interested in checking out a great band that Monday? They're Canadian - http://www.lelelow.com/theband.php. Also, I know the guitarist a bit, so if anyone's interested, we can probably pop by during sound check & say hello.

So I emailed an aquaintance who works at their record label. (as a music enthusiast, I have met cool people with similar interests... & learned it pays to befriend your friends' friends)

She likes them, and is in-the-know apparently.
- They'll be playing lots of their favorites. "they're not dumb, they know what people like" she said.

Also - their opening band she says is Young Love. This group is AMAZING. Psyched they'll be there. She says the label is about to invest big $$ in them, they are the next "big thing." this is the same label that The Killers are on. Should be a great night.

Meeting up for a drinky before - always a good idea!! Hofbräuhaus is right on the corner. Can be touristy, but also lots of fun... & especially on a Monday night! And beer. Lots of it if I remember
