This friday we meet again at the Treptower Park S-bahn at 1:30pm

Sounds good. If the weather is bad again, should we consider Tim's Deli our fall back location? What was that like last week, in terms of space availability for strollers?

Last time the weather turned out very good so we sat outside which was perfect for George´s stroller and their wasn´t a lot of people inside at that time of the day. So, yeah that would probably work

It was great meeting you all last week. I will not be able to make it this Friday as my sister will be here visiting. I have here some info which might be useful:

Tel: 030-88043188. There are quite a few doctors there. Mine was Dr. Hagen

For all to be Mums - A copy of the "Kids go" www.kidsgo.de will be really helpful as it contains all information on Info-Abend of the krankenhaus and all the available courses such as Yoga, Vorbereitung, etc in the different areas. I think u can get it from yr doctor or Hospital?? Mine was given to me by my Hebamme.

Glad you found us this mums and bumps meeting is for mums and mums to be but their's also an event called Thursday night drinks, which you will find in Toytown and their everybody that want's to meet up for a good time.

Hi, I am an English now stay at home mum, who has just relocated to Berlin with my husband and 17 month old son. We dont know anyone here . I am looking to meet other mums with young families. I am feeling pretty lonely and isolated and am hoping there are others out there who are know what i'm going through and wouldn't mind meeting up

I would really like to meet up today with everyone, if you dont mind a new comer. I'm still learning to naviagate my way round the S and U Bahn as only been here a couple of weeks. Will attempt to meet you at the entrance of the U-bahn station Nollendorfplatz. I'm coming from Lichterfelde so not sure how long it will take to get there. I am assuming i am looking for a group of ladies with bums and strollers!

I'm not a mom or mom to be, but have a friend who is a step mom living here and is desperate for some support...I was wondering if it would be relevant for her to meet with you all or if any of you know others who are expat step moms or dads living here. she's thinking of starting her own support group in that vain. any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful. thanks!

It was fun seeing everyone on Friday. We had some suggestions about meeting near the S-Bahn Charlottenburg/U-Bahn Adenauerplatz stop to go to a kinder cafe in the neighborhood. Are you up for that this Friday at 1:30pm? I know some of you were going to think of other more central suggestions, as well.

I asked about an english speaking class birth class and I think I found one thanks to Ally's tip: http://www.geburtshaus-berlin.de/index.php?id=80. Just thought I'd pass the information along to the other bumps. It looks like the next class begins August 28th.

To Vagabond, your friend is welcome to join us although I think the eldest child that comes to the meeting is 18 months and the mom with the eldest school child has a three year old. I guess it just depends what your friend is looking for.

I took that English birth prep course in June and it was great. I used quite a few of the techniques when I had my baby, Lilly (July 7th). Usually insurance covers the mom and the dad is 80€. If you guys meet in Char'berg this week, I will try to come and I can bring the book I got from the class if anyone wants to take a look.

Just wanted to say I had a great time on Friday and thank you all for making me feel so welcome. I am definatley coming on Friday, I am happy to travel as long as I have an S or U Bahn name to aim for. Irene and I were talking on the way home on Friday and thought it would be nice to meet up mid week, we are going to the Zoo on Wednesday. Meeting at 12 outside to Zoo exit at the U Bahn station if any mums or mums to be fancy it, the more the merrier.

Also, just in case I forget later or a soon to be/new mom is perusing this board, today there was an article on Yahoo.de about a service available in Germany for those folks who may not have the necessary family and friends here to get their new little family off on the right foot. Basically, it says that it is an organization that will come by your house a few times a week for 2/3 hours (for 4€ an hour or less if you have some financial hardship) and help you, doing the things your friends and family would do if they could be here (like giving you a break for a nap, necessary shopping, playing with your other kids, going with you to the kinderartz and the gov. offices etc, etc). It also says that they will do it for a few months.

I can't vouch for it, I didn't use it and I didn't even know it was available until today. I checked out the site mentioned in the article, but it is in German and my German isn't 100%, so I don't know if I have all details exactly right. But maybe this is a useful resource!

Hi All, Thomas and i would really like to come tomorrow, but don't know this area at all. Are people meeting at the Kinder cafe or at the S Bhan station. Can someone please post the address or directions to where it is. Also what time is everyone meeting?

OK. Let's aim to meet at the S-Bahn Charlottenburg exit on the Lewisamstrasse side. When you get off the train, walk in the opposite direction of the Wilmersdorferstrasse exit (I was forget the name of that street) and then walk down the stairs and turn left towards Lewisamstrasse exit. We'll meet right outside. The cafe is about a 5-7 minute walk.

We'll miss you, Kirsty, but I understand that it is too far for you.

I am guttted i missed you today. I had such a lovely time last week. I was running about 15 minutes late (life never runs to the right time with a 17 month old) plus i hadn't realised how long it would take me to get there still not overly familier on how long journies take across town. Unfortunatley only had Kirsty's mobile number who i knew wasn't going today so couldn't let anyone know. Apologies for that if you waited for us.

There is a lovely little Italian pizzeria not far from where I live that might suit everyone for this Friday's meeting http://www.marcello-berlin.de/inhalt/cafemarcello.htm ? It is a 5 min walk from S bahn Innsbrucker Platz (Ring) and 6 mins from S Bahn Schöneberg (S1 and Ring) or a 30 sec walk from the nearest bus stop. Both stations have lifts and (up) escalators. There is a small children's play area for toddlers and a baby changing table. The cafe does not look too great from the outside but their pizzas are amazing .

Or as the weather is so fine we could also meet at a park (somewhere near the ring)?

I like the pizza place idea. Maybe we could meet there and head to a park nearby if there is still time later? I probably won't be able to stand the heat at Treptower if we walk to the area where we normally sit. I need shade!

Hi Vasilki! We meet most Fridays around 1:30pm. We are in the process of deciding where we will meet--Treptower Park or the Schoneburg pizzeria Sorcha suggested. Keep checking for details...we usually meet at the nearest subway stop and walk to the location together. Nicole

I haven't been to the last meeting due to work commitments. But would love to meet up again this coming Friday. I would like to suggest a location that is easier for the east-enders but easy to get to. If the weather stays awesome, the Oststrand might be an option. Beach bar with lots of space and shadowy places at the river Spree. Just a 5 minute walk from the Ostbahnhof.
