Mums & Bumps, weekly meeting in Berlin

How about the same place as last week for our Wednesday coffee and for the weekend meeting lets see who is interested and based on that find a suitable location.

So for Wednesday 21st Nov:

For the weekend meeting, would charlottenburg be close enough to everyone? Or if you know a nice cosy cafe somewhere else then share it and we can try.

Hi there! I am new to Toytown and also expecting a baby. The bump is now growing exponentially! (I am due at the end of January) I have been in Berlin for just over 2 years and am originally from the States. Would love to meet some other English speaking Moms and Moms-to-be here in Berlin. Would it be OK if I just showed up at 12 Apostle on Wednesday? I think I can make it, if my work schedule cooperates (I am a freelance English teacher) but at the moment it looks good!

I'm not sure if I'll be able to make on Wednesday as have to drive my sister to the airport. If you are meeting at the weekend I'd definitely be there.

Just show up on Wednesday and join us. Last time we were the only table with baby/pushchair so it is very easy to spot us.

Sorry I missed out on today. I had an appointment with an insurance guy and he talked for 2 hours, for something I thought would last only 30 minutes. By that time Mijke was an unhappy girl and a thirsty one too, so after she had filled her stomach there was no point trying to get out there as you all would probably be gone! But great idea for the weekend, love to meet up I'll talk to MeiLi about it!Take care

We had a a great news today! Mei-Li gave birth this morning to Vera Ky-Sin at 3.17am, she is 3090g and 50cm. Mum and baby are doing fine and mum feels "kaput" after the experience;-) We wish them lots of happyness, health and some sleep!

Hi everyone!!! ) I am spending a week in Berlin (trying to get a feel for the city as my partner and I are STILL waiting to move to Berlin even though I only have about 10-12 weeks left!!! ahrrrrrrr))!!! Krisztina, hope your new job is going well, and life is not too hectic! Are you able to do a lunchtime meeting if we do, say, Postdamer Platz area?
Can I suggest Thursday lunchtime, either at 12 Apostles, P Platz or somewhere new if anyone has a suggestion. Now the smoking ban seems to have taken effect, we (theoretically!) have a few more options...

I only saw your post today. Yes if you guys meet @ Potzdamer platz I could step out and spend lunch with you. There are a couple of suitable places there or we can even meet at the "Arcaden" (hope to spell it right) shopping mall in case of bad weather. There are a few nice cafes as well. Let me know your plans!

Here's the first suggestion for lunch! How about Vapiano www.vapiano.de at Postdamer Platz? Wednesday at 1pm would be good for us.

I have a 10 month daughter and would love to come to the meetings! but first I would like to ask if they're also open for non-english native speakers (since my mother language is Portuguese). If so, it would be lovely to get in contact to other mums (and mums-to-be) in Berlin.

Anyone fancy meeting this week? I am on biz trip on Wed, but here on Thursday or Friday. I can only make it if we meet at Potzdamer platz so I can step out from work. I really miss seeing the babies ;-)
If we meet I will check a baby friendly place - last time the Vapiano was very busy with the office crowd (of course weekday lunchtime). If we can meet a bit earlier, lets say 11.30 we have a better chance to get a table at one of the restaurants/cafes.

I'm currently 24 weeks pregnant with my first child and would love to get together with other pregnant ladies or mothers. I'm still working full-time (until mid-April) so I probably will not be able to make the lunch meetings until my work schedule slows down (hopefully by March!).
