I'll be definitely there!!!
Eishockey is just great and I like the atmosphere in the stadium. Guess I will be there at almost all games...
I myself always try to convince all of my friends to go to the stadium... the more the merrier!
chewy
That sounds cool, i think ice hockey is the only sport my uni dont play! Any ideas for ticket prices, and if u have to get em in advance?
Toast
augh!
we've got go karts for the first game & we'll be in berlin when they're here. rolleyes.gif

see you on the 17th!
canuck
I could also be convinced to go...A big Italian gelato could convince me...
gideon
can't do that weekend but i'd love to go somtime as i've zero understanding of ice hookey and would like someone to tell me what the hell is going on.
pootle
Standing tickets are €10, seats are €15.

This early in the season you shouldnt have to buy in advance.

Gideon - can explain all to you, let me know when you want to go. Will be there on the opening night, probably wearing either an old barons shirt, or a TeamGB shirt.

Can i suggest we make a group trip to the home game on the 12th September, as its a home game, and i dont think theres much planned then? I admit i wont understand v.much but it always looked like fun when we'd watch it at 5am on tv, post drinking!!
JoolyBooly
I'd love to come too some time, always wanted to watch it live. But I'm leaving next Wednesday, back 19th Sept...
pootle
12th sounds good to me. its a 1830 faceoff. so how about we meet up at 1730 at the Olympia Park station?

P
chewy
Sounds good
sunny_me
So, anyone going tonight?
I'll be there...
pootle
Sorry Sunny, didnt see your message before I left. I was there. Good to see EHC win tonight, opposition looked a bit dis-organised, and EHC capitalised on it. Shame they couldnt find that 10th goal!

P
sunny_me
ja, was good to be back in the stadium! Just love Icehockey! the hockey the EV Landshut was playing was a bit disappointing. Expected a bit more... but yeah! Was good to see Munich scoring 9 goals! Looking forward to the next games... !!! Hopefully a few other TTers will join then...
pootle
So people still on for this sunday? Meeting at the Ubahn exit 1730?

Poots
chewy

P
sunny_me
anyone else watching Munich playing Landsberg tonight? smile.gif
canuck
Nope...sorry can't make it tonight...Sunday should be good though.
sunny_me
it's in Landsberg anyway...
canuck
That's even one more reason why I can't make it...
pootle
Cracking game this evening. Shame they lost, but they were so in it. Sunny_me - what happened to you? waited 15 minutes at the ubahn exit with Chewy and Cannuck sad.gif

I guess I'll go again on the friday in the middle of oktoberfest. I wil update this thread later this week.

P
sunny_me
Oh I am so sorry. I didn't think u would wait for me. I went there with 6 of my friends and we hav already met before 6:30. Reeeeeally sorry.
When I said I'll be there, I meant I'll be in the stadium as well...
was a fantastic game, was it?!!! Was great to watch that!
canuck
Last night's game was probably the 2nd best game I've seen since I've been over here. The best being a game in Köln last year. München really deserved to win the game. The 2nd goal by Berlin was totally offside. The ref should be shot! I wonder how much Berlin paid him to make that call??
pootle
My plan is to the head to the game on the 24th. Finally have found what I think is one of the better plots to watch the game up the top of Block N.

If anyone else is intrested in going, slap a message here.

Me
canuck
Sounds good, although the game won't be as good as the one on Sunday.

As Chewy is counting down the hours...so am I. About 16hours until Canada is World Hockey Champions!
chewy
What time is the game cannuck? more to the point whens it gonna finish? 16 hrs, thats 4am? guess the games in foreign lands.
canuck
It starts at 7pm tonight in Toronto. 6 hours time difference. So that means it starts here at 1am. If the bar is still open, I might watch the start of it live at the Arc. If Harry lets me...
sunny_me
anyone going tonight?
Crawlie
Hmmmm... Could be up for that. Cannot be any worse than watching Augsburg playing at the moment.

Must check the AEV schedule and I will let you know
JoolyBooly
Pootle will let you know, the 17th is most likely, I would really like to see it!
pootle
Hey,

Crawlie - EHC München are scoring goals and winning games wink.gif

Jooly - not sure where I am going to be on the 17th, maybe have to disappear to london for a leaving party , wil know more nearer the time

Anyone going along on sunday?

P
Crawlie
Looks good from my side. AEV is playing in Berlin (another defeat no doubt) so I will make my way over to the stadium..

Urrrmmm... best not wear any of my Augsburg jerseys then... wink.gif
pootle
Meet at the ubahn exit at 1730???

Augsburg is always good around december time when the xmas market is on, and the gluhwein is out. Are there any good games around then we can do a TT trip too?

P
Crawlie
Just had a quick look at the game plan. The following games would be possible although I would strongly suggest the Augsburg v Ingolstadt game. Plenty of local rivalry so should be a really good atmosphere (They played against each other on Friday and over 6000 turned up for the game which we bloody lost of course). And Ingolstadt have a couple of NHL stars in their line-up who signed for them once the Lock-Out was confirmed - Marco Sturm (San José) and Andy McDonald (Anaheim Mighty Ducks).

Anyway the possibilities are:

Sunday, 28.11.04 - Augsburg v Düsseldorf - Face Off at 18.30
Friday, 10.12.04 - Augsburg v Iserlohn - Face Off at 19.30
Sunday, 19.12.04 - Augsburg v Ingolstadt - Face Off at 14.30 (will probably be shown live on Premiere)

I think we should organise a trip for the last one. Will be a laugh!

Crawlie
pootle
Augsburg v Ingolstadt - sounds like a good game. Might be an idea to get some tickets before hand though, its going to get full!

P
Crawlie
No worries. We can order the tickets online (looks like Augsburg has finally arrived in the 21st century) so let's see who would be interested and get the tickets.
pootle
Good game last night, lots of goals as munich won 10-5.

Not sure if I will be going next week as I am flying back from London on the sunday.

P
Crawlie
You forgot to mention that Munich decided not to show up for the last period and they decided to put someone in goal who could only have been a very poor imposter...

Very open game and lots of comical goaltending!
pootle
Next home fixtures are :

21.11.2004 18:30 EHC München - Stuttgart Wizards
26.11.2004 20:00 EHC München - EC Peiting
03.12.2004 20:00 EHC München - Starbulls Rosenheim
12.12.2004 18:30 EHC München - ESV Hügelsheim

Munich are still top of the table, and are going strong.

The game on the 3rd should be a cracker of a local derby. Well worth getting a group together. Can I suggest meeting in town somweher for some gluhwein and then heading up?

P
canuck
As I told you last night, I'll be there guaranteed...Hopefully we can get tix!!
pootle
We can always pre-buy tickets before the game.

Think they are onsale from the ticket agency on SendlingorStr

P
pootle
Anyone going to the game this sunday?

P
Blimeygirl
Not sure about this one...but I am interested in the 3rd (Tom too if I can convince him that hockey is a sport worth watching!)

I second your motion for getting the three g's organized: a group, glühwein and game smile.gif
pootle
Oh and sparklers. What a great excuse for adults to behave like big kids...

P
Hazza
Not likely for me.

I have to work on Sunday
canuck
If I'm not skiing, I'll be there for the Augsburg game.
pootle
ok smile.gif

So 03.12.04

München again Rosenheim faces off at 8pm

I will be there smile.gif but before hand fancy a little bit of gluhwein around rindermarkt. Theres a nice place been found for Feuerzangenbowle on RinderMarkt. I guess I will be there from around 5pm on friday, until 6:40. At which point I will be leaving for the hockey.

I dont think I can go to Augsburg on sunday now - some work will interfere.
