Ok, the clue is in the wording, anyone know where i can buy some basic black and white baseball boots in Munich?

Boots?
butterbean
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe he means a pair of chucks?

edit: damn. not bad!
Jules Winnfield
I thought he meant cleats, but that pic just put me off a little...

You can get Chuck Taylor-type high-tops just about anywhere - you shouldn't have any trouble finding them.
butterbean
the boot bit gave it away. not that anyone would actually play baseball, or any other sport, in those things.

bluedave, I'll be in town next week. I can bring you a lively pink pair from Paris if you like. smile.gif

There is a shop on Marien Platz, just down from Rishart, that has the best selection of Chuck's I've seen in MUC. Though I'm not 100% sure if they'll have the B&W ones.
bluedave
Errm don't think i've got the outfits to go with pink but thanks anyway wink.gif

I'm still just wondering how the words "baseball" or "boots" describe what's in that pic...

and bluedave: maybe you should get a special outfit for the pink pair, I think it'd work good for ya tongue.gif
butterbean
i bet the ladies would like it. or them anyway. biggrin.gif
Punchbear
They started out as a basketball boot, afaik.
L8knight
I have to agree, "boots"?

UrbanAngel
Your best bet might be to go to a sports shop like SportScheck and look at their Converse section.

I moved this to the Munich forum and changed the title to reflect what I think Bluedave is talking about. If I'm wrong, send a report to the mods so I know.

I would call what Bluedave posted Baseball boots. As would most of the first places that come up on Google. I most cetainly would not call them running shoes! Of course i can quite imagine that they're nothing like what baseball players wear, however that's what they're called in Britain at least. I'd have thought you can get the in any shoe shop, my daughters got several pairs, although probably not in colours that Bluedave is likely to wear! biggrin.gif

the shoes posted by Blue dave are NOT running shoes. The original title was more accurate, though the word "boots" is more understandable for us Brits. If you want to be pedantic, then call them Chuck Taylor All-Star or Converse All-Star Basketball shoes, as that is what the manufacturer calls them.
bluedave
They were always called baseball boots in the UK and that's why i called them that as i thought it would be recognisable to all the Brits here.
