Bike shops in Frankfurt

Hi all

I am looking to buy my kid a new bike, and all of the local shops seem a bit expensive. I saw what seemed to be a large bike market type place advertised on a tram a while ago but can't for the life of me remember what it is called.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Or try Fahrrad Franz in Mainz which is huge. Just off the A643 across the river. Take the Mainz Mombach exit from the autobahn and you can't miss it.

There is also a bike shop just beside Galluswarte station, so you can get to it very easily. I havent been IN it, just looking at whats in the window but I get the impression they have a medium sized collection but possibly priced a little better than most.

Went to BikeMax and picked up a great bike for around the same as Ebay if you include delivery. Little guy is very happy with it though, so that is the main thing.

I don't know much about bikes really, but got the impression that their 20" size and over were a bit pricey though...still, we were looking for 14" so it didn't make the blindest difference to our shopping experience

One thing to point out, the website says Hanauer Landstrasse 427, but that is the old address - Fortunately they only moved about 500m up the road on the same side (next to a Burger King) - For anyone else looking for it

I don't think Brügelmann is an outlet store, it's more of a specialist store and it's VERY expensive.

A friend of mine highly recommended this shop that is located in Bornheim.

They have lots of high quality bikes of all kinds, unfortunately the prices aren't very smart.
Good thing is that quite close to it they own also a huge repair garage, where they sell new or used bikes, repair damages and sell accessories.
