Meet ups in Cologne

Hey everyone,
since there are no meet-ups in Cologne, I thought I might give it a try.
So anyone interested in going out in Cologne?

yup i'm up for going out! would be good to maybe go to a restaurant or sth? just an idea tho...

I'm always up for meeting new people...so you can count me in maybe also my friend. We dine quite a lot of the time... I'm away from Thursday this week till Tuesday so unfortunately i can't make it then.

I´m still trying to oraganize a meet up in this forum...and it seems that a few are interested. but its hard to plan one! Just send me a PM with your suggestions where to meet and what day...what about next week?

ok jus to speed things up - hows 16th July (Monday)@ the Cafe in Stadtgarten, Ehrenfeld (nearest U-bahn: Friesenplatz)..17:30...if the raingods wanna take a leak, we can always go indoors..naysayers suggest a diff. date/time..wat say inamia/fotosonne?

The 16th is fine for me.Both places are a good place to meet, but Stadtgarten is great for just having a beer outside (hope the weather is getting better)
What about meeting in front 19.30?

ok in case ur thinkin of dinner @19:30, someplace near eigelstein/ebertplatz should be cool..so here are a few choices:

*Spitz, Eigelstein (?)
*Leo's, Eigelstein (italian)
*Bento Box, Ebertplatz (japanese)

there are quite a few nice places in the streets behind rudolfplatz too..

i like the Stadtgarten cafe, Ehrenfeld idea on the 16th at 19:30 or japaneese same time & date.

Shall we meet in front of the beergarden, or is there a better place we won´t miss each other???

I will suggest... If the meeting place is the Stadtgarten, the best think is to find a table in the beergarden to sit down and after that, tell in the bar where "English speaking people" are seating. If somebody is coming later because of working, they can find the group without problem.

..the biergarten should be just fine..whoever lands first, get the bartender to send ppl asking for "Toytown" to ur corner..

the meetup was gr8 ppl..it took a wee bit of trouble getting together but it was worth it..so when's the next one happenin..?..

Excellent Idea!! I STRONGLY recommend the Bombay palace in Am Weidenbach . .post code 50677 . .. Next to the Pantaleons kloster.. EXCELLENT grub and great value for monez. They know me well in there and I could get a table booked?

But unfortunately, I can't make the 16th as I have a prior engagement. Could we possibly do it a different day say the friday 17th? or Wednesday 15th?

I also have my German lessons on tuesdays and thursdays till 9 so I would have to join later if it was done on those days. Sorry for being a pain in the ass!

7:30 or 7:00 is good for me as I have to travel from near Bonn after work. Unfortunately, I will have to leave at 21:30 to meet a friend who is arriving in Koeln so maybe the earlier time is better. Depends on if the service is good and the food is made quickly
