Hello!!
I am more or less new in Berlin (4 months) and none of the friends I have here really like to go and make this kind of nature-adventure sports...I don't know the English name. I am not at all an expert in any of this sports, some of them I have never try, but I would like to. The problem is always the same...to go out at night and party and so there are so many friends, but to do this kind of things people use to be more lazy. So would like to meet new people and make a group of friends to go together some weekends to the mountains and so. If you have the same problem, don't esitate in contact me!!!
Gruß,
Nuria

I've always wanted to do parachuting, anybody know where and how much it is?

Personally although I wear a parachute when gliding I have no intention of voluntarily jumping out of a plane...

Personally, although I wear a parachute when hiking up, I have no intention of voluntarily hiking back down. laugh.gif

Will be able to tell you where and how much after the weekend. We bought a parachute jump for a friend of ours for his birthday and he's jumping on Saturday. As someone else organised it I don't have any details but will let you know when I do...

I jumped looking back now in 1995, .. at Gransee north of Berlin

to get there

it was a lot of fun. after a 2 day course I was ALLOWED to do a static jump, - if you train for a week then hopefully at the end of the week depending on how good you are you can free-fall alone. Of course you can cheat like me and pay someone to jump with you. rolleyes.gif

No parachuting for me. NO NO NO. I don't have wings... thereby, I don't belong in the sky. for ANY reason. :-P

More power to you if you decide to jump.

So the place we went to was in Berlin-Gransee about a 45 minute drive out of town. There is also a train station nearby and they will pick you up free of charge on request. The website is www.gojump.de (unfortunately only in German) and the prices are also listed. Our friend really enjoyed the jump and said that he was going to get himself a 25 ticket! Glad he can afford it. The staff were friendly and we all had fun despite the 2 hour delay due to the weather!

Sounds great Gooner gal. Thanks for the info, I'll check it out.
