Anybody know of this tiny, I want to say restaurant, right near the Fraunhofer u-bahn stop across the street from a "design your own T-shirt" place. I think it might be called Escargot or they at least advertise it in the shop window. Can you get a meal there? Whats the dress code? Is it expensive?? Any good? Just looking for some escagot to snack on and no I am not French.

ON
Fraunhoferstrasse? or NEAR Fraunhoferstrasse?
If you mean on one of the side street heading north (Reichenbach or Baader) then I don't think it is is not a French bistro
rather a semi-skanky local I used to drink in.
If you mean directly on Franhoferstrasse on the north side of the street between Klenze and Müllerstrassse then it is kind of smart casual relaxed place.

I think I mean the side street semi skanky place. The food any good or should I not waste my time? Maybe I'll check that other place out...and I didn't write on Fraunhof Strasse I wrote something else as you can see in the post.

Was it open?
As far as I know it closed as a pub two years ago and hasn't re-opened since.
"Food" was a bag of peanuts if you were lucky.

Isn't it on Reichenbachstrasse? I can see it in my mind but can't quite remember where it is.

Indeedy, a lovely skanky (and skanky can be good) local with a real eclectic mix of people from very well spoken professors to blue collar workers.
Germans, non Germans, gay and straight, young and old etc etc. A real old fashioned 80469 boozer of which there are sadly these days few left.

A semi-skanky place that MT used to drink at named after a twisty-shelled snail - imagniation is busy boggling.
