Sorry but G is correct, that level of English would not be enough to garner you a position in an English speaking environment Sarthaa.

Maybe her English is okay, now a days it is a trend with Indian girls to drop vowels . It takes a while to understand what they are talking about. mad.gif

Sarthaa, below are some points for u :

1) Getting a job in Germany takes a while as thats how the procedure is. But u being in software field, sometimes u may find a job for which the company has an immediate requirement.

2) Most of the jobs demand good German understanding, but not all...but u would have to learn German anyway to live comfortably in Germany. There are many reasons , for example...reading signs on roads, ordering an item in a restaurant, etc...and also many people dont really speak english...so, dont be surprised if u feel like an alien amonst 'em..!

3) Lately, i heard that Germany and swiss need a lot of software people...so apply to as many as possible with a clear, gud resume...dont forget to customize that accordingly to German standards. U would also need a pic(dont use a pic in which u wore a bikini..hehe..shud be a formal and standard one..) on the resume...and cover letter, etc stuff...do some googling and learn different things like the common words that would be useful for you in daily life, manners, etc. And if u happen to go to a interview, be punctual. Its not like in india...so dont take it for granted.

Well, if u need any info, i m all ears..! Gud luck...chow..! :-)

Unfortunately I disagree, I worked with Siemens for the last year with many indian colleagues.

1. their english was of the type...'today morning I no sure where I go...'

2. None could speak german or even attempted to learn german

This did not stop them for working and earning a living in Germany !!!
