In nice weather, it's good to sit by some of the restaurants and have a drink, maybe something to eat, and overlook the lake !

You could also take a boat trip around the lake.

I spent two dreamy summers lying among lots of FKK people in Ammerland.

Drive to Münsing then head towards Ammerland. Go weekdays. Lie as I did among beautiful people. Park your car carefrully as you will get fined for not being as local. Oh, and go on a weekday.

Oh God distant days long gone with the onset of fatherhood...

Starnberg: Easy access to the lake. Nice little cafe to the left after the tunnel. Nice area at the Seegartien to the right. Catch "Der Schiff" to take a quick 1 hr trip around the lake. Walk past the Seegarten. Nice area.

Possenhofen: Nice swimming area.

Tutzing: Nice walk to the lake (pretty hilly) . Lots of Bavarian style Biergartens and a nice Monastary.

In general the water is very clean. Since my place in Texas has a spring fed river, I never thought it is too cold to go swimming during the summer. wink.gif
