Hi All,

Been playing phone tag with the Australian Embassy in Berlin and getting all sorts of conflicting information regarding how to apply for various pieces of paper needed for me to marry here. Anyway, just been informed that it is easier for me to get these done in Australia, i.e. 1 week as opposed to 6-8 weeks. I would like to send my documents via Express Post, is the correct translation for Express Post - EIL International?

Thanks,

CM

Eilbrief, yes.
You would be better of sending it via international courier, though. It's worth the extra money.

Hi Sara thanks for the confirmation. Which courier would be the best for Australia or are they all about the same?

A week ago I had to send tax documents to the IRS in the US and I choose DHL service. I got a receipt with number so that I could track the delivery on the internet. Their service is rather expensive (51 Euro), but they were able to deliver these documents in three days. I think it is worth of your money if you have to send an important document overseas especially if you need or would like to meet certain deadline. You only need to go to the post office near you and ask for the DHL international express service.

Good luck!
